That's some pretty good oil painting, Ray! My father does a lot of that (mostly southwestern scenes, I have seven of his paintings on my walls) but so far I haven't ventured into it. Maybe some day....

Did a short hike in Point Reyes this weekend and went down to Palomarin beach afterwards to check out the tidepools; just wanted to throw a few pics up here :)

Wow, Varg Lobos, those are some excellent-looking knives. I'm really keen on the sheaths in the top pics. Who's the sheath maker?

All the best,

- Mike

Looking at the Scout troops on Mt. Whitney with USSR makes me think scouting has changed a whole lot since I was one.

Mike,

Those sheaths are made by Sharpshooter Sheath Systems. They come standard with all Bark River knives. I just piggybacked the smaller sheath to the larger with some 6-32 screws and nuts.

Thanks for the compliments!

I took some scouts on a Whitney trip last year. I think it's a great thing for them to be able to do.

RKSOON - I have always liked the tide pools. I get bored on a sandy beach but I can wander around the tide pools all day.

I love em too - especially the ones on Hawaii beaches at night/early morning low tides:thumbup: So many interesting spectacles of life in them. :)

Once again, awesome pic man!

Thanks Myright. It was a very eventful trip including some :grumpy:, some , and a little :barf: on my part due to the altitude. Worth every step, though.
