It's a little Moki but I can't remember the model. They mostly do handmade / pretty stuff but that little ugly one is a real workhorse. If you're not interested in massive amounts of strength in a folder they're great. It's an FRN frame with rubber inserts so no weight penalty. The blade has a pleasing taper too. It's one of the only hollow ground blades I use. It is ground to the full height and presents a very nice edge for critters. I think they're outstanding value.

I don't post much here, mostly lurk. But here's some pics from where I hike around.

Definately different than your usual pics but just as beautiful! What type of camera do you use?

Those are bamboo - some of it was 50' tall and 8-10" diameter at the base.

I have been using an Olympus SP-350 camera, but I will be replacing it soon. On this trip, the battery voltage sensor was malfunctioning and it kept telling me the battery was dead (and wouldn't work) even with brand new batteries.

I didn't care for Manila - very crowded and western, a completely different atmosphere from the rest of the country. My wife is from Dagupan, about 120 miles north of Manila, and we stayed there. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The people in the provinces are extraordinarily friendly, the food is great, good scenery, what's not to like?

Hundred Islands (we hired two of those boats to carry around 20 people for half a day, and it cost us a grand total of $50, including a crew of two for each boat)

And to show that filipinos know the right way to celebrate New Year's, here is what we bought. Let's just say that buildings shake when you light these:
