Lambertina your photos are always amazing, thanks for sharing them.
I would think you would know every square inch of Kings Canyon by now:D

cjag - there are large areas of Kings Canyon and Sequoia that I have yet to see. It's a lot of territory to cover. I have at least four or five weeklong backpacking trips already worked out in my head to cover more of what I haven't seen. My problem is finding other people who want to go along (my wife does not want me going alone). The people on some of the hardcore backpacking forums would do it, but they like to cover a lot of territory each day and I prefer to take it slower so I can enjoy it.

I will probably have room on my permit for a trip I am taking with some friends out of Onion Valley this summer, if anyone is interested.

I agree, I am actually using one of your pics for my work wallpaper right now. Your pics let me daydream about being up there even when I'm chained to a desk

I wish I weren't an east coaster. I'd love to just disappear into wilderness like that for a week. I'm looking forward to exploring some of the areas here in Georgia. I've had the Cohutta wilderness suggested to me a few times.

I wish I had the ability to join you, that'd be awesome. I hope you find more to join ya.

I'd love go with you. Your photos of Kings Canyon have really had me thinking of making a trip over to see it for myself.

Anyway, a shot of my camp site from last week in Kosciuszko national park:

I can see your wifes point of view (and I understand it) and I can also see the hardcore backpackers'... I would love to go along as long as we top a few summits on the way! :D :D
I am waiting for a partner to send me some ice climbing pictures from this weekend. Right now I only have the ones I took with my crappy camera and they are kind of dark.

Two years ago kruger national park. Not so great pics, but there are more to come. My gear since has changed tremendously! First pic is the first snow I have ever played in. It does not snow here.....
