Had to go look up that burger exk1 - looks good.

I think I have discovered my motto of the day: "Never play in ants deeper than your head".

Nice motto!

I realized that I originally thought the grind is full flat. It however is a high hollow grind after more inspection. Not a clear deep hollow grind but it is one none the less. I sharpen it on an angle of 17 degrees on each side 34 in total and its a slicer! I also use it quite hard. Lockup after two years is great. the ti has worn in level to the blade and lockup stays there.

Here's a piece coyote jaw that I saw while hiking the other day.

It was on a sandyish bit of law between a lake and an intermittent standing water body. I didn't notice any other bones, but I wasn't really looking, I probably walke over/by this one a couple of times before I noticed it. Finding it (I left it where I found it, and didn't handle it) was pretty cool- I've never found any animal skulls in the woods before-- one of those things I usually associate more with fiction than real life.

Mp,
If that's a coon jaw then that came from a HUGE coon. Either that or you have really small feet.:D
Or maybe it's just the angle of the pic that makes it look large.

Wow, I wouldn't want to stumble across one of those big baddies unexpectedly while hiking in the everglades  Very cool Pyre

Telephoto lenses are your friends :D! Anyways, he was just out trying to warm up in the sun. He wasn't lookin' to pick a fight :P

Nice pics Pyre, but I wonder? A picture of an empty hat and pictures of a satisfied looking gator. Any missing hikers in that area?

I think She Who Must Be Obeyed is trying to tell me it's time to go home and take her fishing. I haven't been home since July and this is what is waiting in my front yard.

These are the neighbors across the river from me. We have seen as many as fifty elk at one time.

That's cool, funny thing is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the 2nd elk photo is that famous Bigfoot photo where's he's walking away towards camera right looking back at the photographer.
