The Order Of The Cattle King (The Mighty Stockman)

Nice, deep stag on the Calf Roper dynamicmoves! Here's another one from Northfield.

^^^ That Stag #66 is a beauty Jeff. Mine is blood red bone and it's arguably my favorite GEC - battling neck n neck with my longpull spear Charlow "If I could only keep one..." knife.

One of the many knife patterns I enjoy carrying and using

The 3 smallest ones (Queen, Schrade, Ulster OT) have pen blades instead of the spey

The yellow bone Boker was EDC'd for many years it's held up really well, the 5 blade Moore Maker and Case 6318pu both have punch/awls

This knife I bought many years ago when I couldn't find a Case 64047p

Pete, that sowbelly stockman is a beast. What a great knife there, I'll bet that is a real workhorse. Love a sowbelly and have been eyeing those 5 blade versions for a while now.

Before finding this place, I carried a yellow delrin CV medium Stockman for about 15 years daily. I got another in Chestnut bone, CV bladed also, about a year ago and I've carried it often as well. Something about the stockman pattern just feels right to me and I think of it as a great every day, do anything kind of knife. My Chestnut is the 63032 pattern which replaces the spey blade with a pen, which I prefer. If I had to pick one knife to use for the rest of my life, it would be a stockman.

Used it in the garden tonight cutting twine to tie up some tomatoes.

I won this one in KG's giveaway a while ago :)

This Sowbelly in smooth tobacco bone is from Rough Rider, really nice knife. Kindly sent to me by Uncle Andi

Been carrying this Buck 303 since Sunday - my favorite carry size (unless I'm hunting). OH

Another inherited from my brother. Just starting to get the edge back on these blades.

Gevonovich, I was surprised how well that pic turned out. I have an old Nokia flip phone with a pretty poor camera, but the light was right and I had propped the knife up on a fence post, biting into the upright just enough to keep it from falling, so the angle just happened to be where those clouds were. I guess Vulcan/Hephaestus wanted to highlight the tool!

Great knives everyone.
Sextant, that is a ridiculously fine Puma

Of course everybody knows about the long traditional of ranching in Germany :D

The Queen #9 is one of the great stockman patterns. Four inches closed, serpentine with round bolsters, it's big but very pocketable. This one in carved stag bone.

I only have one right now, but searching and have been for a few months for another one.
Here is an older Western that I've been using quite regularly. The size is smaller at 3" closed and the spey is replaced by a pen, but it works for me. So for now, it's this one and still searching…
