It is great to see your old Empire Collection again Charlie and I am very happy that you will be going to the show again . It would be very nice to see you and probablyTime to get this show on the road!!! I've been missing it, for 3 years now, and I'm very excited to be going after all this time!! It is not as easy for us West-coasters to get to a show - so many shows are in the east!!
It is a huge show for us, and affords cutlery lovers a great variety - customs, antiques, and even cookware!!
I am packing up, and taking a slow drive there, starting tomorrow morning!!
I've got some very interesting stuff coming with me this year, and GEC is back this year!!!
I hope to see a bunch of old friends there, and will try to populate this thread with pictures, starting Saturday!!
I've heard my old Empire display, sold a few years ago, will be there, along with many other cutlery displays!!!
Try to make it if you can!! My table, as always, is number U-2!!!
Come on down!!!

I assumed Hitchcock took the title from Hamlet, but maybe not....Vince, for me it was a Hitchcock allusion.
I wasn't even aware of the Hamlet connection until I googled your quote. And then I ran into serious Shakespeare commentators who went on and on about whether "hawk" and "handsaw" were both birds or whether both were tools!
I'm in way over my head! And I never dreamed that the title of the Hitchcock film may have been inspired by a fuller version of this quote from Hamlet (although Hitchcock apparently debunked that view).
Who knew that pocket knives could lead to so much knowledge/speculation???

Your wealth of knowledge for knives and kindness as always was so inspiring and I was honored to have met you.
Very true! However, it is a long day at the show. Then social events after. I am sure Charlie and Lloyd will have pics up in due time.
I didn’t take pics at the show but I picked up this GEC86 and a large Case Stockman at the show. I also won a silent auction for a second 86!View attachment 2155029
