The Para2

Is there a release date for the sprint run or just talk? BTW nice knife Rob.

I didn't even realize these were out yet. I like all the changes they have made, and will need to get one.

Thanks for the pics Rob:thumbup:

There is no release date as of yet, I believe. Sal just confirmed that there would be a carbon fiber and carpenter steel (like CPM S90V) sprint of the Para 2 in the future.

My Para2 came with this document, I hope it's legible for you guys. I just snapped a quick pic.

Mongomondo was correct about the bushing system, the document briefly talks about it.

Here's some more pics. These were shot outside because my typical lighting setup was unavailable.

RevDevil: I tried to get a close up spine shot. It is hard to see, but my lockbar locks up about 1/3 of the way across the lockface. It is absolutely solid with zero blade play and I'm not exaggerating in any way. The compression lock is by far my favorite lock, the axis would be second.

The liners have jimping too. You can see some slight laser burn(I guess you call it that) on the lower liner jimping in this pic, it is not rust. This is the only fit and finish problem I can find. I am very pleased.

You can see here in the picture above how the lockbar is tightly pressed against the liner while the blade is closed. Because of this, you can no longer depress the bar and release the blade like the 1st Para. This is one gripe for me.:o However, this does create more closed retention so.......

Also here you see the full, skeletonized liners

Very good centering on my blade. The Pivot Bushing System is supposed to create tighter tolerances for manufacturing purposes.

Pocket shot, with the HUGE lanyard hole.

Great pic's Rob! The Para has always been my #1 sometimes #2 favorite.
Sure would like to see a side by side with the old model.
Just to get a perspective, of what the blade length difference looks like.

Wow. It looks absolutely fantastic. Spyderco did a great job IMO. :)
I'm afraid it will now kick the Millie out of my pocket.

Here is a video with Eric Glesser that shows a good side by side comparison.;)

looks like a winner.

the two things i didn't like on the original have been corrected.

multi position clip and hidden tang when closed.

thx for the pics!

Thanks for the pics and write up. Nice evolution by Spyderco. (wish the brown truck would hurry up....)

Thanks for the pics - which are not only great but very informative

Only make the buying an inevitability though :)
