The Para2

Thanks! I havn't ordered from New Graham before, but I've heard good things. Seems they have a few in stock also. Nice.

The liners aren't nested?

.:edit:.
Went back a few pages, guess they are. That's good. :)

I like the Millie exactly the way it is.

It could use a beefier lockbar, but that's about it. Please leave the clip alone, this is the one knife that I like tip down. And no shiny clips either.

+1. I really hope they don't bastardize the military with a tip up clip option. It just doesn't seem right.

FWIW I kinda like the original Para more. Just felt less compromising. This one has some things I like and some things I don't.

Because it's not a liner lock? :)

It "compresses" the tang of the knife with the lockbar and stop pin. Very secure locking system.

I guess what I was really asking is, "What is a compression lock?" :D Obviously there is something I can't see in the images because the images look like a liner lock to me.

Oh, never mind. The lock is on the spine, not the underside of the handle. I see the difference now. So my understanding of a compression lock is it's a liner lock on the oposite side of the handle. :D

Nope. :D

Ahaaah! I SEE, said the blind man.... :D The springy piece gets COMPRESSED between the blade and the stop pin. :D

Grr...I'm annoyed for having pre-ordered from KC: both NG and KW had em in stock before KC, and for a little cheaper to boot.

Man, serious knife addict cravings over here :o :D

My favorite lock and easily one of the strongest.

I bet that (the second part) is right. I'd love to see Jim Ankerson put one through his hard-use routine. It's hard to imagine a compression lock failing, though anything is possible.

The force is strong with this one... ;)

I preordered from KC also. Knife envy is a baaaaaaad thing man. I was going to cancel my order and get one from NG, but I think they are out already.

Yeah, they are, I checked a little while ago too. Oh well, prolonging the wait is supposed to make it even sweeter... :D

Mine is waiting for me at home in a USPS Priority Mail box. Very eager to get home! :D

I'm starting to think I'm the only one who owns a Para2, let's see some pics gents.

Well, I cancelled my Knife Center pre-order, and ordered one from NG.

I'm not sure why I pre-order. :)
I did the exact same thing. I pre-ordered about 6 weeks ago. As soon as I saw NGK had them I jumped on it. They went pretty quick! Hopefully I will see it tomorrow or Saturday at the latest.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to follow your great pics, huh? :p

I know, I know - that shouldn't stop me from sharing some of my own. I plan on taking a few shots this Sunday. Might put it up against a Salt 1 and UKPK for reference. Hell, might even slice up an apple or something, too. :D
