Great selections to chose from.AlrightBob Denman and
Rufus1949 ... I'm going to need your guys' discerning eyes for design.
I'm finalizing my Whippersnapper build with Ilya right now. They weren't too impressed with the desert ironwood they picked up recently, so we're going to use some wood from my own stash.
At first I was thinking I'd use this desert ironwood burl:

But after thinking about it a bit, I've changed my mind and I'm fairly sure I'm going to use this Honduran Rosewood Burl instead.

So here's what I was thinking:
Model: Whippersnapper
Blade Shape: Wharncliffe
Steel: S90V
Blade Finish: Satin
Handle Type: Honduran Rosewood
Bolster finish: Satin
Pocket clip: satin
Liners: Satin
Bronze anodized standoffs
Bronze anodized screws
Bronze anodized Pivot
Or:
Model: Whippersnapper
Blade Shape: Wharncliffe
Steel: S90V
Blade Finish: Satin
Handle Type: Honduran Rosewood
Bolster finish: Light Blast
Pocket clip: Light Blast
Liners: Light Blast
Satin standoffs
Satin screws
Satin Pivot
Lastly.... I have a a couple pieces of Raffir stabilized mammoth ivory that are going to be left over from some other projects... I've been giving a little thought to using those instead.

Is your compact available to show?I think that gold bolsters just pop with a nice burl.

This would be brighter if polished. That rosewood is beautiful.
Quick thought...polished bolster would give it an old barlow look.
You definitely don't want to detract from the burl.
Light blast will give it a grayish look on bolster.
I will keep thinking but your ideas are good.
Of your two first one would be my choice.
Have you seen my new one for ideas?View attachment 1859176View attachment 1859177View attachment 1859178
Sorry... I grabbed the wrong pic.Is your compact available to show?
My head is spinning...Bob as in Denman, since we are both Bobs, would like you to have it made for a southpaw.
