The Patiently Waiting for the S90V Gunhammer Thread

As I'm patiently waiting for my GunHammer I decided to try doing scales today.

I know the blade is dirty but that will get cleaned up as soon as a the tung oil dries.

I was just showing of a pic of what I was doing during my patiently waiting time. That has nothing to do with a GH :D

Yep, I'm getting anxious for this one too. You know you're an HTM addict when you think about the knife you ordered several times a day, even knowing that not everyone has paid up yet...

1/4 titanium bolsters with Ti liners with black canvas Micarta

You know the rules RevDevil! Save it for a custom haha. We can dream, right? My ideal Gunhammer - 1095 (for a nice patina) & S90V San Mai blade in a warncliffe type pattern, Ivory Micarta scales, Flamed Ti liners (mostly blue and purple), Raindrop Damascus Stainless 1/4 Bolsters, and a flipper that has a traditional Harkamus rhinestone in the hollow of the flipper. This would be an epic gunhammer.

Who is next?

The 1095/S90V San Mai combo sounds pretty cool.
Well, this weekend, I will be reorganizing my sock drawer. Anyone else with me? :)

I'm with you on the organizing the drawer thing but this one gets top drawer, thats where all the something special knives go and its getting kinda full. Hell you would think this gunny needs its own special box with a halo around it the way I've been talking about it around here:D

Sock drawer? No thanks. I actually picked up a second GunVault brand safe for my knives. Not sure why I need access to quickly, but it works. Oh, and label them or else you may pull a Victorinox Swiss Champ on an intruder instead of an XDm or G19.

While waiting for the S90V GH's to get built, I just got an email message from knifecenter saying that the m390 GH (that I forgot I ordered) just shipped... at least now I'll have something to "tide me over" until Mr. S90V shows up... woot woot!!! :)

No fellas no. I'm not sticking the knife in the sock drawer. My sock drawer is just a mess and it needs a good once over. I've actually been conteplating some knife storage, a safe sounds good, but I'll be moving soon (I hope) and I don't want to lug a 500lb safe with me. Maybe some kind of nice tool chest, wall display, who knows. The Gerstner tool cheste are also nice, but I would need 3-4 of them to cover my collection.

Just got off the phone with Darrel. Knives will start production next week. Rough build time is 6 months, but Darrel said that was an over-estimate, which makes sense. Better to over-estimate and deliver early than to under-estimate a build time and deliver late.

Hark, are these going to be delivered with a zipcase? My one and only Gh didn't come with one, but was only sent in a box. I think I have the same one you had from TNK.

I have never ordered from TNK. I have met Neil Ostroff on a few occasions though. Stand up guy, that Neil. I believe they should all come with a zip case.

I got the green/gray GH 2.0 with nonglare finish (bead blast) when it was offered. I had noticed every HTM in photos had the zip case, and when I first opened the box, I had a bubble wrap case. :(
I might call and see if I can buy a case.
