Every craftsperson I know loves knowing their work is being used as intended. Knives for cutting (especially food) and same for cutting boards (Fine cutting boards clean up beautifully and can easily be sanded and refinished when the knife marks get too deep: The finer the wood, the better they clean up ‐‐ we still have some outstanding.wood cutting boards received as wedding gifts in 1998). Potters love to see their cups and teapots being used for tea. High end car manufacturers love to see their cars driven. I love to see the horses I train being ridden (well). And so on.Me and Jelio down by the school yard.Yeah use up and have fun with them - don't turn your back on pretty you might find her useful.

Ragweed is solid...Never had an issue with multiple orders. So I'm new to puukkos. But I really want a quality tommi-style puukko. O just don't want to overpay for something that is re-branded or have a bad experience. The best option I see is Kainuun Puukko for availability as they are custom made. But i heard someone got stiffed on a paid order. And could find no other positive reviews about them. That being said, I found one on Ragweed Forge's website that looks good, but no real description about maker or blade material. Any help is appreciated.

Kauhavan Puukkopaja Birch Bark handle #75
This Kauhavan Puukkopaja is well suited for the average sized hand. The tang goes through the handle and is peened over on the pommel. The handle is made out of stacked birch bark layers with a Brass Bolster, and pommel for decoration. The handle is quite comfortale in the hand. This item...ragweedforgestore.com

Easy enough to call RedBeard at Ragweed Forge and ask questions - he is solid.
But our brotherBox_Opener Opener is one of the best too. His knives are top notch and he is as 1st class as they are.

I think Mora classic #1/0 or #2 can serve as a model. To understand if such a knife is comfortable. So I'm new to puukkos. But I really want a quality tommi-style puukko. I would definitely consider the knifeBox_Opener is offering. You will love it. If money is an issue, though, the Kauhavan puukko at Ragweed is an outstanding knife and the prices at Ragweed are the best you'll find for that selection.
There is a long review with good pics of the Pentti Kaartinen puukko here (makes me NEED one!):

(Box_Opener , is it the same as yours?)
I might have a tommi-style for you. I’m talking to someone right now about a trade but it’s not looking good. It’s by Penti Kaartinen. Asking is slightly more than the one you posted. PM me if you’re interested. A pic (from the sale post I got it from):

I am very interested in that puukko. I am a bit embarrassed that I cannot find how to PM you about it. I can leave my email here, or however would work. Because I feel I need one of these knives for my bugout bag. Nothing carves like a good Tommi-puukko so I've heard.
Apparently I have to be a paid member to send instant messages. Gotta be another way!⁴Hey, that’s strange. I can’t PM you either. Not sure why. Don’t put your email here in public. People pretending to be me will email you in like ten minutes.
