This thread has turned from having a good laugh at nobody-who-didn't-ask-for-it's expense into one that is all too common nowadays;

Everyone is starting to question whether they have crossed a "moral boundry"....after all, everyone that competes is now a "winner" and deserves a ribbon right?!

Let's try to stay human.
If it's crap it's crap, and if you feel that it's "mean" to call a spade a spade hand in your individuality and go watch the Football game hoping it will be a tie...

I will go as far as to always acknowledge that what I hate others may love, and that's cool...but those lovers need to acknowledge that I need to be entitled to my opinion.

Don't forget - "MERRY CHRISTMAS"

Don't forget - "MERRY CHRISTMAS"

I beg your pardon sir!!! I am offended by your statement and must insist you use the correct, POLITICALLY correct that is, term.........Happy Holidays.......this way you won't offend anyone!! Ugh!!
Absolutely amazing what offends people today.

The knives look like movie props and appear to be made of rubber!
The maker comes here to respond to a 13 year old thread, with a touch of tude, and directs us to a web site with pics of those 'knives'.........sorry, but he just might get a bit of criticism.....from some members who don't live the PC, or spineless, way of life.

MERRY £|>}%|£] CHRISTMAS!!!

Joe

This may be their passion and they have their own target market. But my confusion lies around the significant difference between the form, function, and blatant differences in grind quality between their D2 products and their damascus patterns. An individuals grinds start to look like a bit of a fingerprint after you see enough of someone's work. His fingerprint is clear in the many D2 knives that share design and grind characteristics. The damascus knives however, look like something completely different. Why do none of the damascus knives share the unique design shapes of the D2 knives, and why aren't any of the D2 knives done in the cleaner lines that the damascus knives are done with?

It has come to the point that you can't even say "Happy Holidays" anymore. The company that my girlfriend works for had to stop calling it a Christmas party for the people that weren't religious, and they can't call it a holiday party because of the Jehova's Witness' that work there as it's against their religion to celebrate any holiday, so they are just having an "employee appreciation party" so that they don't get sued.

To stay on topic, Jacob's Custom Knives posted in the feedback forum to clear the air and answer a question that wasn't even asked so they're opening themselves up for what this forum is about. The knives look hideous and they should be ashamed to say they're the "best knives you'll ever own" because they look like no time, effort, or energy worth a damn were put into them.

They should be ashamed to show it to anyone. How dare they call it the "best knives you'll ever own." Absolutely no skill or effort went into any of it. Looks like they had extra D2 laying around and just ground whatever crap they could think of. Extra bits of it hanging off the sides serving no purpose, horrible hideous edges with wavy swivel lines...I thought it was a joke website at first until I browsed it.

Who cares? As long as they are making knives their customers are happy with, I couldn't care less about someone else's business strategy. There are much bigger problems in this world...

...like bumping expired threads.
