The " Roosters " are crowing for the " Farmers"

Thanks guys for the compliments and thanks Paul. I was finally able to get this one from Paul on my third attempt.

Any thoughts on doing a run of these in 2017 Lyle?

Not yet,but I'm thinking. Interest seems to be growing. You know we are an elite group here...

Thanks Randy,Josh ,Ron, Paul, Will,Robb, some of the faithful.

Lyle, I'd be in for a full set of what ever you come up with. I am absolutely in love with the four I have. Your knowledge and collection make me feel like
I would be safe giving you free reign with my knife money. So if your keeping score, while thinking...count me in!
Robert

Thanks Robert, real glad for your comments and you joining us here.

Thanks for the patronage,it's very flattering.I mean it.I see you are cooling your heels up high out there.

I said this way back on the 2nd page of of this thread :

" I was attracted to this pattern basically by two things.

One was the beauty of the frame and curve of the pruner, their uniqueness. When I see them, they remind me of my one true love ,beauty and grace that is so elegant, yet humble .There was also a lot more to them beyond their natural beauty. Both were literally and actually love at first sight!"

You all reinforce those comments. Thanks everybody for hanging around and appreciating their attributes.

Paul you also have a nice group there. Hope to someday have a cranberry Orchard and a wood Lick Creek in my collection.

Robert

The jigging on the cranberry bone orchard gem is exquisite!

Yeah,Jon,a few of Charlie's knives got some of the best jigging of that batch.I think Bill had to have a substitute jigger because of health. They all still turned out great.

Thanks for posting Paul and Robert,I start smiling when I see our thread rise to the top, where it belongs. Grin

Fantastic group shots everybody! There are subtle differences between the Farmers, which is how it should be!

That Beaver shield one of Paul's is a nice difference in scales and shields. There are no duds with this pattern (including its cousin the 38 Whittler, best 3 blade knife lately). However, at the end of the day I personally prefer Lyle's interpretation the most, that big bar shield and the great pin-work make them the most desirable from my perspective. My users are a Lick Creek Jigged and a Tidioute Smooth Camel, a nice contrast.

Bring on the next run I say, :D I'd love to have another couple of users and some more glamour models for the showcase;)

I have and love my 38 in the beavertail configuration, but I keep seeing the northfield "orchard gem" stamped ones and just sigh at their beauty. There is something about that name... orchard gem. It makes me feel warm inside :)

I agree about the jigging varying from knife to knife in this batch. I've also got a cranberry that has some of the nicest jigging I've seen on any knife from GEC.
