The " Roosters " are crowing for the " Farmers"

I had to fix Neal's picture. I don't understand ,but my viewer on my computer usually won't bring up pictures off BF,but this one did.

My birthplace was in the little house up front on that label. It also shows Papaw Fry's house up the holler. That's where my picture on GEC's boy's knife label was taken. Right in front of the porch in 1954. I was 2,and playing in the dirt pile that's behind me in the picture.

Great start Steve.

Farmers jacks are like jam.Once you've had a good taste of elderberry or black currant, grape becomes your friend, and not your lover.

I might be in love.

Nice bunch, Steve!
Did you buy them as a collection - all together?

I found a Remington FJ, along with a Barlow collection.

The etch is still visible, though not well in this picture.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH! That Rem Bone looks almost good enough to chew:D:eek: Fantastic example:thumbup:

Well I got lucky and came across two that I had hoped to add to my collection. After receiving these 2 new additions I am even more assured in my opinion that this pattern and series represent the best of what GEC has produced. The 38s might not be GEC's crown jewel, but darn close! Also got to say thanks to Lyle and Charlie for their work on these, as these knives have brought me as much enjoyment as any. I hope to someday find worthy vintage additions to also add to this modest modern collection. Thanks again Lyle for enlightening me and many others on this wonderful pattern. I'm still a jack knife guy at heart, but wow I really love these FJs.

Robert, RCMAZ, was kind enough to pm me that a dealer had some hard to find "Lick Creek" and "Orchard Gem" #38's in stock. I was able to pick up this Amber Bone I had been looking for for sometime.

Thank you Robert, I appreciate your kindness in helping me add this to my collection:thumbup:

Came today, sharpened and riding in my FLP:cool:

Paul, you are most welcome and I'm delighted that worked out. It's a beauty and deserved to have a good home, along with that little
fixed Bailey and rapid river copperhead. All nice acquisitions!! ;)

You are on the right path, Josh!;)

Anybody heard from Lyle?

He's been absent both here and at AAPK.

He was having some health issues.
