The " Roosters " are crowing for the " Farmers"

That is very lovely mastodon ivory !!

This thread has so many nice knives.

Hopefully someone will notice my signature and want to do some horse tradin.

Thanks my friends. I was deeply in love with my late wife and never thought this would happen.

Never say never, God knows best. Life is very mundane ,if not shared.

Lyle I'm so sorry I missed your fantastic news/ this is really really good stuff here.
I'm so glad that happiness has come to visit you again - wonderful news.

That's some funky Mammoth! Looks thousands of years old!!!

o_OWait . . . . . . . .it is!!!!!!

:DA beauty, John!!

Thanks Charlie, it's at least tens of years:D The farmers jacks in this series of knives Queen made really seem to be well made knives, need to find 2 more and between Donna and I we will have the whole set.

Thank you Duncan, Hamsco, appreciate the comments.

It's a shame that Photobucket did what they did, I've used threads like this one for reference and appreciate everyones efforts to keep these going, now we are missing a lot of pictures of some great and rare knives in all the long knife pattern or vintage manufacturer threads.
I'm going to try to go back to some of my posts and see if I can edit out the Photobucket and repost the pictures using the new forum software.

Just when I thought I'd seen almost every pattern out there you folks have to dig up another obscure pattern I really want. Thanks you bunch rassin frassin sumna guns. :) Not only is it old, it's useful for me and no longer made. This is gonna make it harder to find then when I find one starts the agonizin' over whether to make it a looker or a user. I really don't have too many lookers so it'd get used and then I'd have to have a another for back up...

Then's 'll find variations and have to own them always lookin' for a better one to carry... Thanks I really mean it but I'm blamin' all you folks who posted pics over the years. I'll tell her "C'mon babe, all the rest of my friends have one :("

Thanks.

Oh ETA Photobucket sucks, too many broken links and now to learn about the pattern and drool over pics ;)

I too Augie am going to sit down and re- do what photos I can, this will take time but is important as you say.

  • Thanks John for posting that gorgeous example of Mastodon handles here. I wonder if the bark is all they used on these 100 issued in 2009.
I haven't checked my posts, but I expect photobucket is a culprit there also.

John ,which ones do you need?

That Schatt is an interesting knife, Lyle!! It surely was built in Titusville! The Tang stamp says so, and the now-Queen factory was their only location.

That Mastodon is a beautiful knife...a certain collector of Farmer Jacks (Lyle) is gonna be envious...it is the one he is/was searching and the one I too do not have of the set...but promised Lyle if ever saw one I would grab it for him. Enjoy and maybe get to see y'all at the Rendezvous!

Quite the magic trick!

That's what I was thinking.He he he

Jan said very clever.

Ha Ha! Didn't take long!
I was hoping it would go unnoticed for a while, but you guys are too sharp!

Paul, Duncan gave me a heads up for that knife.:)
I kinda oversniped it:rolleyes:, and someone else had the same idea!!
