My grandpa was a stockman man. I got three of his knives when he passed - all stockmen with jigged handles. Lots of memories of him pulling out a little black knife to cut fishing line or do some odd job in his wood shop while he taught me carpentry.
Last year, I picked up a 66 (jigged bone of course) to try out the pattern he loved so much.
Had a tough week at work, worst in a decade. To help reset and focus on what is truly important, I finally put the 66 into the rotation. Amazing how a pocket knife can help the mind focus on the value of hard work and legacy.
What an awesome knife and amazing pattern.
