The Sardinian connection.

Should you decide to drive up to northern Sardinia, please let me know. Unfortunately, I have no days off to drive south to Campidano and join you at the Poetto :)
Oh, and please say hi to Davide on my behalf (and on Duane's, I guess )

Hi Fausto,
I will try to come next week. I'll send you a message if possible

Yesterday I have seen another great friend in Sestu, Andrea Melis .
As I was with Gigi Sechi they told about the best way to put together the two plates of horse-shoe.

A neighbor :D

The famous lion of Sestu :D :

A few knives :

Best regards ;)

Thanks for the photo of these guys at work Âchille!

Hi,
Monday, little visit to Giuseppe Gallante, another great guy

The dorgalesa, variation of the pattadesa with a sharper design

A great knife !

The logudoresa, one of the rare traditional model with a locking system. Giuseppe is a specialist of this traditional knife

Best regards :cool::thumbup:

That last one from Giuseppe Galante is beautiful. Not as fancy as the others before it, but something about it just strikes a chord with me.

I also like the 3 from Andrea Melis in horse hoof.

These specimens of Andrea Melis are exceptional works of Art! I would be ginning ear to ear to own any one of those. Thanks so much for keeping these beauties coming for out viewing pleasure. I can't get enough.

This time it's not traditional but it's sardinian ;)

From Davide Steri

Best regards

While not a "classic" Sardinian pattern, I loved this design from Andrea Melis the very first time I saw it, and someday I will ask him for one (and I'm even wondering about a fixed bladed version of the same knife...).
Meanwhile, summer is here (at least fruit-wise :p)
