(so good i had to share)

just made this tonite, in the vein of "do something everyday":

Used the Paul Seller's chisel method. only takes about a minute, it's very snug, any roughness is my fault, not the technique - i was rushing/futzing it... there's a youtube of him doing it behind a glass plate. It's very clever.

also made 4 not too shabby legs for the new outfeed table, and secured the majority of the top to the frame. have to source some bolts... should be fairly stable. then to clean up the bit where it will live ultimately, because it will also be used as a foam cutting station to finish that area. then, uh, fix the ceiling up and remove that stupid pole. then, erm, test insulate the walls, and put up some framing in front of that (open), and hang some shelves, and run some wires. it's getting closer and closer to shoppe time. also lights. also, uh, perhaps get an electrician before i go too crazy.

I wonder why the forum doesnt allow you to buy a basic membership for another person.... The forum is probably calling me a cheap bastard just for wondering it though LOL

I will; be patient.

A true story with that much naturally-occurring ridiculousness takes a while to be distilled through one's brain and be subsequently prepared for public consumption. Ya don't just blurt it out in a rush and hope people get the gist of it.

Well... most do; but in this case, I prefer a more leisurely approach.

The final "product" must be detail-rich, but also reasonably concise and fraught with action, in order to pull the reader/listener into it and make it seem like it's happening to you in the moment. It's really more like a short screenplay than a short story. Or not.

Ya can't make this stuff up. ;)

Just make sure you put "true story" at the end of it or nobody will believe it.:D

Mornin' heads. Looks like I'll be acquiring a small boat soon. Anyone have suggestions on what to look for, for a 10-15hp tiller motor?

Also, go vote for Dresnor!

late to the party (as usual) but love the snark name. going bowling with a bunch of people from work on Sat. The Big Lebowski jokes have been nonstop. I did some yard work and cut some branches/palms etc. with the bk9... like butter baby. God, i love the 9!

Scaring people that come to your front door is always a fun thing! I've done it a few times.

This one scam wanted a consent form signed to "reduce your electric bill" they had the power companies log and id tags, under the signing sheet was another sheet authorizing the transfer to a different service provider. I told the guy never to come on my street again or he'd be shot. The guy gave me a half grin cause he was found out, then walked to my neighbors house. I stood in my front door coughed loudly so he looked over, then I dry cycled my 870. Never seen anybody run that fast :D

My Surefire just turned on in my pocket by itself. I had the sensation like I just peed myself as it warmed up. Then the nice warmth turned into burning....i almost had to remove my pants.
