Real silver tableware is super cool. Once you wrap your hand (and eventually, your face) around a proper silver fork, no cheap stamped imported stainless eating utensil will ever feel quite right.

Just sayin'.

Going for laser eye surgery. time to get rid of the glasses I've had for 19 years!

But first,

We kept the kids out of school today. We are going toy shopping, they they will spend the rest of the day / night at the inlaws while I sleep / recover. We'll go get them tomorrow :D

I need to get my butt in gear! its almost 9!

Let me know how it treats you man. I have been thinking hard about it for a while now. Ever since they developed tech that can do Stygmatism, and near and far sight at the same time. I always figured why only get one thing fixed and still need glasses.

I wonder how much trouble id get into for this.....

:D

Be careful using the computer after. I heard laser vision can seriously damage LCD monitors. Plus now, giving someone "the look" might land you in jail for arson.

So, at the doctor's office for a follow up, BP today is 128/85. Still high-ish but a LOT better!

Good luck TBL!

Just finished refreshing our "extended stay" Tornado Shelter Kit. Building "kits" and stuff like that can be fun and all but man, its interesting when you have to ask yourself "what do I need if stuck in a concrete box under ground with a 2 year old, a 4 year old, and my wife" lol (maybe the kitty if he is lucky ;). This is compounded when you realize it may be a "when" and not a "if" question... However, the kiddos and I had a good time rotating the food out, adding a few things, and sealing it all up for another year. All the while trying not to instill any sort of fear or paranoia in the little ones. I remember my folks always seemed fearless when it came to bad weather. My grandparents had an underground house across the creek so we were never far from shelter, but I remember many times in that old farm house, my parents would turn out all the lights and open the windows (depending on if we had power or not, usually not lol). Then we would push the couch and chairs up in the living room facing the outside and watch the storm rampage the trees outside. One night, a limb from the big black walnut tree out front came trough the front screen door to meet us! Neither of my parents ever broke a sweat about any of it. Very fond memories...
