Ahh. but I'm talking about way back in the dinosaur era before you were born when there was no such thing as a key fob.
No buzzers to bitch at you if you left the key in the ignition. No automatic door locks. Just push the button down as you get out of the car/truck and slam the puppy shut. And THEN remember you left the key in the ignition, which we did all the time anyway because no one ever stole a car where I grew up.
Back in 1973, my family went on our first ever "family vacation" of longer than over a night or 2 to the lake. When we went to leave for a 3 weeker, we couldn't find a house key to lock the door. My father locked it from the inside and then crawled out a window and pulled the window down and wedged the screen shut with a match stick..

Also, thanks to you guys, I can't get a new knife without wanting to modify it. Here's my Case Swayback Jack that I'm attempting to dye the bone one. It's in cv, so I don't want to get any dye on the blades. I walked out of the store I bought this at about 4 hours ago.
Also, it's the only reason I had that beer. The only one.

I know it's not 2 yet, but I went out a bit ago, and didn't see anything. We were in Arkansas a few years back, sitting on the front porch of a cabin we rented, in the hills, and got quite the show. It was pitch black out, and so easy to see.

Going to be buying one probably tomorrow, a Ken Onion edition.
Everything I've head is fantastic, and I feel like it'll help out a lot with edges once I start perusing knife making in a month or so.

Nothing so far... Except 5-8 unsavory characters around the corner wondering why im walking down the road in the dark with a camera at the ready....
Ill keep looking every few minutes but its not looking very "magical" this far. And i wont be bringing the camera back out... Because i dont want to get shot today.
As i was walking away i snapped a picture of the unsavory guys... But its too far away to get a good facial ID for use as evidence in case i go missing LOL.....

Went out on the roof for a bit, didn't see much of anything. Pulled up an app on my phone called google sky maps and just browsed around. Learned about a new constellation, don't know if I'll be able to find it regularly, but Cassiopeia is a pretty easy one to find. Just 5 fairly bright stars in a "W" shape.

I seen a youtube video earlier of one and read this quote in the comments
"At the listening position I can measure reference levels (100+ db) down to ~15hz with zero signs of strain. F3 is at roughly 12hz. In the 16hz hot spot over in one corner of the room I can measure up over 120db and I can feel the walls flexing. It's rather insane"

From 2-3 a.m., in central Illinois, the meteor shower was a celestial dud. I did see 2 satellites, but I wanted to see meteors. Enough of this BS, g'night gents.
Was trying to sign up for internet service and apparently whoever had the apartment before me had an account with the same company and stopped paying his bill. So there's an open account attached to my new address with an unpaid balance so I was advised by the company rep in a chat session, who is likely on the other side of the planet, that I need to go down to the local office and straighten the whole thing out.
Normally the office is open Saturday but with this being a holiday weekend I'm not sure. But I have nothing else to do so I'll go down there and check it out. Better bring my lease just to prove I live there now and not that other schmuck.
