Hey its the snark thread, I had a gripe with it. Like I said, I'm no greener, but I couldn't really grasp why he did that. Yes, I was a bit harsh with the d-bag thing, so I extend an apology for that. As for the blade performance, if you are going to demostrate/test cutting ability why not make it challenging for the blade? And honestly, I'm not sure what those test should be (I just said railroad ties as a tough substance), but he already knew the blade would cut those trees down, so why repeat what he already knew(maybe he was clearing his land as was suggested) but.....come on, LOL We all can pretty much figure out that this blade was not his first forray into heavy duty katanas, so really, who is he trying to impress? :D

Everyone who knows how I am, knows I'm probably going to tell you like I see it and not blow smoke up your ass with lies and false bravado. If I don't like something I will say it point blank. The rest of you can smile and nod all you want, but I won't :D

Crocs are hands down the best camp shoes and kayaking shoes.
They're light, and they're comfortable after a long day of hiking in your boots.
They're a quick slip-on for that late night pee.
In terms of kayaking, they dry quickly, and they float.

And I've long stopped caring about what other people think of my appearance.

However, tradewater has some tactical Crocs, and even he doesn't kick doors with them.

some people don't eat dairy or wheat or (insert food here) because it might actually, really, honestly kill them if they did. trust me on this....I spend a lot of my food shopping time reading labels so I don't accidentally jeopardize my daughter's life.
Luckily, we do keep the bacon un-pork-free (ALL pork, NO nitrates). My kids are bacon hogs ;). I hardly get any :(. Best feature of last fall's gathering: They got to split a whole package of bacon Sunday morning, and hot chocolate.

That I understand. SOME people actually do have those allergies. Some people are actually allergic to nuts, or other stuff. HOWEVER the latest "fad" is "food allergies".

(Side note to Biscuit: "food allergies". <-- Period goes inside the quotation marks or outside?)

GSoM My sister actually DOES have a gluten allergy, she has ended up in the hospital from it. This person that contacted me though has no food allergies. She thinks that eliminating dairy, sugar, gluten, and meat from her diet will help her lose weight.

No worries. If you would of just said you didnt agree with chopping the trees down i wouldnt of said anything about your reply, it was the d-bag comment that bothered me honestly. The guy does a lot for the knife industry as a whole and is willing to spend his time to train me for bladesports.... And i have always stood up for people that stand up for me, its just in my nature.

As for performance, how many swords you know of that are made to chop down trees? how many have you seen that can even handle that type of use or perform they way that one does? I doubt a single one. I think its a great demonstration of its ability and performance. Make it challenging on the blade? That he did. Just because he makes it look easy doesnt mean it wasnt challenging on the blade bro.

But i did talk to him on the phone for a little bit earlier this evening, mostly about blade show, bladesports, knives and swords of course.. But he did mention the area where he does that chopping, and the trees he chooses to chop and he isnt hurting anything at all bud. If you watch the video again and pay attention you will see he carefully picks the trees he cuts and doesnt take the best or biggest in the area, and when he takes a bigger one a lot of times it already has beaver damage to it. Most of the times he takes the smaller ones growing tightly together, and this is a good thing for the surrounding trees.

But back to snarking :D

He will be at blade, feel free to go up to him and ask him about it if you are going... Just make sure to address him as "World Champion Master Cutter Sir" ..... Or chance feeling the wrath of that Katana HAHAHAHA :D -SNARK

I will not be attending Blade. And I would not remember who he is anyway to bother searching him out. And, I don't have time for it. I do have time for an apology, which I extended already. Perhaps I have been watching too much YT where vanity and ego are run ammuck. I do not know him, so I cannot say for sure what type of person he is. I will conceed to you Sir. The field is yours.:D
 
anyone have experience with the new esee made g10 for the izulas? i was looking into getting some for my 14 but havent really been able to find any reviews

There is a crazy deaf chick in St. Louis that is trying to get a grant to start an organization for "therapy rabbits" which I don't understand unless they are to be eaten. That would be therapy for me!
