Oh good god! I'm so done with living in this world! (yes this is off-topic rant!) I just got an email asking if I knew how to make DAIRY-FREE ice cream (?!) and GLUTEN-FREE donuts(!!!!!!!!!!!) Why the hell would ANYONE want EITHER of those things?! It's like asking for "Pork-free bacon" and "cow-free steak"... Just shut up and get over yourself!

Some people just hate fun and want to watch the world burn.

Heck, I had some guy come up to me at Blade and start apologizing, and I didn't have a clue at first what the heck he was talking about. Took me a while to even remember who he was.

And yet you still keep bringing it up. FFS man, I said I was sorry :( Let it go already!

:D

THANK YOU!! Strongly agree.

I have had the pleasure of talking with Dan hours on end multiple times, he is a great guy!!

+1 for me too. Dan is a really stand-up guy. I'm hopefully going to get a chance to meet him in person next month and plan on buying him a few pints.

This is what i really need...

OMG I want one!! He makes it look easy. His form is spot on and that sword is amazing. Something tells me it would be a little pricy but soooo worth it.

Hey guys, my beckers suuuuuuure are pretty, had to fix my BK9 which did take 30 minutes, making a thread as we speak!

Haha, it's true though!
That's why I got the worksharp and I'll never look back, the consistancy and accuracy is just amazing.
However I still use stones out in the woods.

there's nothing wrong with stones, but if you have a knife in need of service, starting at 800 or 1200 is insane. You need to GRIND, not sharpen.
start with 400 or 600, and use some dang pressure. 1200 is for touch-up. Then strop.

My favorite part is at around 9:50, he slices through it 3 times without knocking it out of place. That took some skill!!

And yes he does make it look easy. I know first hand just because he can do it with his knives/swords doesnt mean others can do the same thing with them!!

If i could chop through a 2x4 in one hit like he did id be walking to blade if i had to and competing head to head with him LMAO

Cant wait until August though, its going to be awesome learning from him.

Been working on my BK15 and 16 with my DMT Aligner. I can get them sharp, they cut paper easily, but I just can't get them to shave arm hair. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. It's a guided system for cryin' out loud.

BK14: no problem, bk11, no problem either. Opinels shave like crazy when they come off the Aligner. But the 15 and 16, nope, can't get them to shave. Pfff

strop.

I just talked my wife out of my knife buying ban as long as money doesn't leave my bank account. Looks like I can sell off my old folders and then upgrade :D If I can sell off another one or two I'll have enough for a BK24.

Think I may have to take my brother in-law with me on that shopping trip. Thinking about making the trek over to S&R. I'll be able to put a real knife in his hands (his current favorite is a Gerber paraframe :barf:)

Oh I know, I have a 600# stone, sharpening though I usually don't go below 800# when it's just putting back on the edge.

Also, the thread is up!
Check it out if you guys want to.

Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale, Burger with onion rings and bacon, hot wings, and Ka-Bar!

I'm gonna go kick some doors down town. I hear there's a bootlegging farmer's market selling wild edibles. Anybody seen my crocs?

Yum!
I had home made Macaroni and Cheese baked.
Those wings look tasttttty
The wings WERE tasty! So yummy! The fries weren't, they were kind of cold. However the beer is too, so it makes up for it!
