Nice to see you F!#$ing around while im workin my ass off!........ Your buyin the first round at Blade!. :D

Ruby (the kid's black lab) carried this up out of the woods and gently set it down on the porch. Yep, there's a new family member.

All jokes aside, good on Ruby for understanding and caring about the situation, thats pretty cool, and as far as your great great great great great granddaughters. They are beautiful, what a great picture, you are very fortunate and should be very proud.

Hey guys, the video is up in the other thread if you want to check it out.
And murph, those are some serious damn crocs!!
Trade that's an adorable little thing, wonder how tender that meat is! :p
I kid I kid ;)

On a side note, I could use a new pair of Crocks! Might not be the cutting edge of fashion anymore but I Love mine. Wore em almost all the way through. Great kayak, camping, fishing, walking to mailbox, shop, taking out the trash, riding lawnmower, shoes on the market. Nuff said......................however, I rarely wear them out in public.. I guess that makes me a closet crocker!

So the kids were playing in the driveway and the boy asked me to make him a wooden sword / knife. I have a giant pieces of 3/8 inch plyboard that I started cutting out some the designs I posted the other day. Then I used some of the trimming pieces to add to each side of the cut out for scales and used wood glue to attach it. Then I used the belt sander to grind it all down nicely. I really like the recurve. The skinner's blade is a little too fat for my likings, I will reshape it later. I still have a big enough piece should I get ambitious enough to try the bigger sword.

Those are pretty cool. Hoss likey

on an unrelated note - this is what I spent my day making:
slat bed that fits a queen sized mattress - inside corners are reinforced with 4" steel hinges for easy take-down, legs are pinned in place with antler tips driven through partially occluded 1/2" holes.

chest is 18"tall, 13 1/2" wide, and 36" long - held together with cut nails and glue. "Hinges" are leather scraps held on with contact cement and then sewn with a harness stitch.

chest needs a second coat of poly, bed needs the legs trued up, edges relieved/rounded, then stain and seal.
thinking about doing a coffee or sumac stain, but will most likely end up coating it with the same stain as the chest.

thanks for looking.

Some mighty fine work there. Been thinking about building a loft bed to get just a little bit more storage space in my room. Need some place to stash more camping gear and gun cases. I really need some more gun cases. And some more guns.

That could get interesting.

Of course you explained to the girls how tender that backstrap will be.

Ain't enough backstrap on that young'in to bother with, have to wait a while. Let the girls get really attached to it and make them help butcher it, builds character. Or serial killers. Kinda a coin toss on that one.

Mark this day folks. A rare image of a Murph in the wild without a beer in his hand.

Thanks WW. Fact of the matter is, the difference between last year and this year is I will actually be working. Knife play isnt for fun anymore. I just quite my job of 20 years, and im heading to Florida after the blade show for a week. So, Lol, im hoping on clearing the trip to be able to get home after the the week and a half. I say Lol, cause ive learned over the last 10 years of my life the less serious I take myself, the more relaxed I am. But, when the laughs stop, reality is, Im not self employed. No big deal, a lot of people are, just gotta find my grove.
.

Well bud i truly hope you do well. I wish you guys luck, you shouldnt need any luck though your blades should speak for themselves.

Knowing your situation and everything id feel much more comfortable buying that mini hawk from you than trading something if it doesnt sell at blade. Im not sure what your asking for it, but im sure its what i consider reasonable. let me know if you want, i might could even sell something real quick and get you the money before blade even if that would help you out any.

You rascals are really starting to disturb me. I'm not sure I'm weird enough to hang out in this crowd...

You are... Trust me on that!

I just got a batch of french toast started soaking for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow take it out of the fridge, throw it onto a grate and throw it in the oven, BOOM! Breakfast!

You have no idea how bad I wanted/needed one either. I was shopping with the woman. I managed to pick up a few cool items though, including the Stanley shot glass set I've been after.
