Just finished emptying my old fossilhunting-backpack, and somewhat filling up the new one I ordered off Amazon. Really dig it for under 40 bucks. Crazy how they do it. Didn't want anything too expensive since I don't plan on hiking a gazillion miles per outing with it. It just had to be rugged since it's gonne be thrown on and off rocks, over ledges,... And I'll probably end up renewing the system every 5 years or so, depending on how the pack holds up.
It's my first pack with molle webbing. Tried anchoring my Estwing to it, but it dragged everything down. Estwing in the backpack it is then. Here's an overview of the pack, the pockets, and what I'll probably fill them up with.
Front, brush always comes in handy (and fits nice and snug into the webbing). I plan on adding some carabiners to the webbing in order to hold my helmet, and maybe even some of my sieving screens.

Back. Only had the zombie green paracord at my disposal. Came with the Swabbie. It does draw the attention to he knife, but oh well.

Lower front pocket. Sunscreen and a fluorescent vest (obligated in many quarries).

Upper front pocket. Probably the space for my wallet and phone. Maybe some food.

Middle pocket: plenty of room for little pots and boxes, some wrapping paper...for the stuff I find.

Larger pocket: here goes the water, hammer, bag with 3 pairs of gloves and some nylon bags for larger stuff.

Now, off to find more of these!
