Got some work done today on the contest prize I'm making gunknifenut. Specs are 10" blade, 16.5" OAL, saber ground, 1/4" thick 1095 from Aldo.

Here's the sketch I started with, since he decided to toss the thumb ramp and go for a simple curve along the back (also I modified the handle so as not to tread on Ethan's territory, but left it fairly close):

Here we have the knife ground to shape and the initial bevels mostly cut in, and with a BK16 to provide scale. Guess where the point of balance is:
