Yeah. We got some last Friday, but it was barely enough to knock the dust down for a couple hours.

I planted that grass seed. Most of it is doing well, but some isn't. I let the sprinkler run for about 6-7 hours yesterday, and just turned it on again. I think the problem is that it isn't getting a good soaking, and the roots are shallow.

Sounds like my ex. She got a good soaking and she was shallow.

Aye. There's the rub. Warrior is trying to sand a hardened knife.

Oh yes, that makes a big difference.
However he's probably not starting with a 60grit pattern on the blade either. 60 is just short of rough enough to file your nails...

Once that blade comes out of heat-treat, it goes back to 280 or 360, then up by steps to 1000.
The key is to get it to 280 or above with no remaining low-grit marks before making it hard.

Wife is in the kitchen making homemade pizza. The whole house smells like an Italian restaurant.

Hey all. For those of you that read self relliance magazine. Mistwalker has a awesome article on firemaking with a bow drill. Really cool article with awesome photography. Met mistwalker at the gathering. Didn't get the chance to talk to him much, but seemed like a very interesting fellow!

Put some straw over the top of it. If the straw stays moist its the perfect environment for growing grass.
Plus you'll find you'll use wayyyy less water.

It was so freakin hot out today, a squirrel was laying down at the base of a tree in our front yard. Don't see that too often. We went out for a smoke, and he just laid there.

Was he dead?..From heat stroke? lol

Sounds like it may just be getting too much water.

Everything I read on Google, said just the opposite. I was watering it frequently, but not enough to let it soak in. The roots won't go deep if the water isn't there.

Oh how I love rain. No sortage of it over here.
