The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Looks like the Mustang was Cali approved. Sorry for your loss. I hope that your vet is able to get Grace sorted out. She looks like a wonderful knife loving dog.

I'll echo this sentiment, I couldn't have said it better.

I hate giving prednisone to my 6 year old golden retriever, but we have to every fall for her allergies. It makes her metabolism go crazy. She has to pee all the time and all she wants to do is eat. I hope Gracie has a better time with it and gets the results you want!

I think she loved that car more than I did and I kick myself everyday for selling it.
Gracie is one of those Monkey See-Monkey Do kind of dogs so if I put something down, she has to check it out.

I'm starting to understand exactly what you're talking about. She has been peeing like crazy and chugging water like there's no tomorrow!
Let's see this Golden that you have dude!! They have to be one of the sweetest breeds of dogs out there.

I edited my comment, I meant to say she pees and eats all the time... whoops.

But yeah, she's great. My wife grew up with dogs and wanted to get one as soon as we got a house. The only pets I had growing up were the kind that lived in cages or aquariums, but when I held her for the first time as a puppy I suddenly knew what I had been missing.

This shot of Roxie is from a year or two ago

Awesome! She's a cute pup! Is she one of the smart Golden Retrievers or is she a complete goofball?
My uncle has had 4 throughout the years and I swear he only gets the goobers! They plow into everything and break more stuff than kids!

Thanks! She's a little crazy and definitely has her quirks, but she's really smart and is so good with our 1 year old and 4 year old girls. When she was a puppy I took her to obedience classes at a couple different places and she really liked that. As far as finding ways to get food from the little humans in our house, sometimes we think she is a little too smart.......

Haha it sounds like you have one of the really smart ones!

Foe the last few weeks I been skimming through the old threads. (Been bored, lots of windshield time at work) There's some interesting stuff in there. I'm curious the thoughts of some of those here in the beginning, on the new starters coming out. There's lots of people who use to be here and aren't any more. It'd be nice to hear how much more or less they like the new stuff compared to the old spec.

Just a thought.

That would be neat. Too bad more of those who were here in the start aren't still around.

If you really want some history, go scroll through pics on the official Facebook page. I found that really interesting.

My fb on my phones stuck on fb 0.002 vrs. I don't think I even have a search bar. Or I'm just not on it enough to know how to look for anything.

Check out what I have been doing the last two days!! That is me up top, L-ing out from the roof.

The building is 5 stories, so the roof is roughly 60 or so feet, maybe a little more. The tallest building I have jumped was roughly 275 feet. It forces you out of your fear of heights quickly!!

Nope!! I'd be shaking in my boots. I fell off of a 2 story house when I was walking the 2x4 top plate when I was a framer. Now I'm scared of anything past 8ft off the ground.

I called my buddy (the one I gave the necker too) today. I let him use my Esse LS told him to beat the hell out of it. I asked him if he has been. He said it was too big to bring to work. He's been carrying the necker since he got it. He said after a few strokes he had it back to shaving sharp. Loves it. I suggested he check out the web site and look at a 3.5,4,4.5 I figured that'd be more of his range he would prefer. He told me he already has been looking and the 12 has been calling his name.

He had nothing but good to talk about it. Loves the size and easy of attention he has to give it. He said he carried a knife daily for awhile but it got too high maintenance just about every night after work. Switched to a razor so he could just change it. I don't think he's even carried the razor since he got the necker.

Another satisfied customer S! Crew!!!

Im glad that I helped convert your buddy to a fellow Survivor!
