The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Anyone follow S! on instagram or pay much attention to the feed on the S! home page?

The other day some guy posted a pic of a 4.1 (I think) and put #busse after it......

Some guy is blowing up the feed with #surviveknives, but the featured knife is definitely not a GSO.

Needlessly negative, but I had to vent to someone!!!

Standard, so glad to hear about Gracie's progress!

I need to check out the link you posted.

Thanks bud! We're not out of the clear yet with the possibility of cancer but she's doing great. I went down and visited with her and she's walking around pretty well. She has an incision from her rib cage all the way back so I bet she's in pain.

She's still doped up quite a bit.

My heart just goes out to that young man and his family. He seems like an excellent person.

agreed, I had a hard time watching knowing how much pain was behind his words...

It's horrible seeing him in that much pain. He's typically a really happy and funny guy but he's just angry and I can understand why. I'd be on a war path to avenge his death and I wouldn't care about the consequences if I were him. I'm just glad he has children and a wife to keep him grounded and responsible through all of this because I've seen him get pissed once and it wasn't pretty.

Man, when does Gracie get to go home?!

The Vet wants her home as soon as possible so they're aiming for tomorrow evening and that's what I'm hoping for. Apparently animals heal quicker when they're in a comfortable location. It's really hard to be in this house without that little bugger around.

Her being home will be good for both of you.

Oh who am I kidding, it will be good for all of us!

Good news! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and your pup!

Hope your little buddy pulls through. And may your friend find peace in his tragic time he's facing. My family and I are praying for your buddy and his family, as well as the family of the others involved.

Thank you TT, I appreciate it. I talked to a friend and I guess he's just angry at the world right now so I'm going to keep a bit of distance from him and let him heal on his own. I know I'd want the same if I were in his shoes. It wasn't even my father and I already wish that I could have just 30 seconds alone with the prick that killed him.

I wish I had good news on Gracie. She passed away yesterday morning at 7:42. Her blood pressure dropped earlier that morning and I was trying to get there to see her but I didn't make it in time. The whole team a the specialty vets office where with her comforting her so she wasn't alone. I had to make the decision to put her down peacefully because she didn't deserve to suffer just so I could see her one last time. It was the absolute hardest thing I've ever done but I'm just really glad I was able to visit and hold her one last time on Thursday night. She put up one hell of a fight throughout this whole mess and still had the heart to give me a ton of love in the end.
I'll probably be taking a little break from here to deal with this. All of your guy's love and concern means the world to me but right now I'm a complete mess.
See you all soon and thank you again.

Standard my entire family's thoughts are with you and i hope you are able to find peace in knowing you made the right choice and gave your pup a great life.
