The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Haven't been on in a few days .. Tapatalk blows. Bought a new (to me) truck though! And my 4.1 has been riding shotgun on the side of my edc pack since.

2007 F-250 XLT, quad cab, short bed, 4x4 with a 6.8L V10 gas chugger.

Nice man! I'm assuming you've already got your S! Sticker on?

Nice rig!
The mileage might be painful but at least it'll haul plenty.

Thanks guys.

No sticker yet, waiting for spring to remove the cap so I can slap some offensive stuff on there along with my S! Sticker :)

After talking to a few mechanics and gear heads I learned that it'll get me awful gas mileage but I can basically tow a house behind me and the mileage will remain the same. I have a few mods lined up that should help my cause and bump me up around 14mpg

14mpg would be great for a big truck like that. My old Silverado 1500 with the small 4.8L only got around 16mpg street and 20mpg highway. I couldn't haul crap with it.

That's the problem with the 150's and 1500's. They will haul but not much. This thing will take a 5th wheel and a car trailer with no issue. Has electronic trailer brake control too which is cool. I gotta replenish my bank account after putting the down payment on this so I'm gonna sell my Grand Cherokee hopefully. I need to order an intake, exhaust, under drive pulleys, new tires, and some LED bars ASAP

Great idea. Fuel, air and spark are the most important. I wonder if a lower gear ratio would help any. It would mess with the towing ability but it would increase mpg's.

Looking forward to pics!

Well, the 3.5 excels at many things, but carving pumpkins is definitely not one of them. The first cut was always difficult since the thickness made it more of a wedge than a cutting instrument, and a more pronounced guard would have been nice. But, this isn't a pumpkin carving knife, so that's not a knock against it. I still managed to knock out a basic one in between trick 'r treaters.

Nice ride!

 nice. I got a pumpkin but we didn't carve it. And where we live we don't get trick or treat kids we just get the tricksters.

I hear you. We don't really get them either, just a couple this year. It was raining pretty badly, plus we're a little outside of the residential areas of the town. That said, maybe it's because my parents have been growing pumpkins my entire life, but it's just not Halloween for me without one. Even a small one like this.

Way to go, MoS! Sounds like you have some good projects lined up for her.

Great pumpkin, calc! I'm glad to see someone SURVIVE!d a jack-o-lantern! Not too shabby, either

There's a lightly used factory 2nd GSO 5 on Instagram for $175 if anyone is looking. It's the guy that I traded with and he's a good dude. It's under #knifesale.

Ordered my Cooper ST/Maxx tires for the 250 today. Going on next weekend. 33"x12.5". Super pumped to get some bigger rubber on this thing finally.

Also just ordered this. I'm a union Ironworker and we're a very proud bunch lol
