The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Haven't had much time to play with knives lately, been working on a kennel upgrade for the pooches. New siding for the kennel house.

Added a timer that will cycle water 4x/day once the weather heats up, with a catch bucket for each run.

Auto feeder in the run attached to the kennel house where the whelping box is for raising puppies.

First run and outside/inside of whelping box

A bit of shade cloth on two sides for sun. This stuff is breathable, so it allows for good air movement. Plus it cuts down on their line of sight for all the stuff there is to bark at :)

Now if I can only figure out how to get them out of it when it comes time to go huntin' :D

I didn't see a flatscreen, lazy boy or a mini fridge out there!

Nope, and no A/C. BUT there is electricity out there now, so if push comes to shove..... :)

That is too cool HK extremely well thought out and beautifully executed

Thanks bud. Mostly I learned from LOTS of past mistakes, ha!

Very nice. Looks way better then my first apartment in college.

I hear you on that TT, our first place sure wasn't much bigger. And I can about guarantee that kennel is less buggy :)

Thanks.

Damn it! I can tell this is going to cost me, big time!

Thank you for the quick response. I appreciate it, but my wife and wallet...not so much.

Watch the auction site I got my entire setup and only have invested around $580 total compared to buying new for $750 and adding the additional items I received with mine.

I paid $320 for the wicked edge with 100-1000 diamonds, 1200/1600 ceramic, blank platten paddles, lapping films and 5/3.5 leather strop...I've since added a 14/10 balsa, 5/3.5 balsa, and a 1/.5 leather for $110, and upgraded the arms for $150. I still plan on getting the kangaroo and nano cloth strop eventually.

Out of curiosity, does the polished edge on 3v handle abuse like the original toothy edge? I'm not sure if you've tested it out yet but I figured I'd ask anyways. I've done polished edges on 1095 and it didn't work out well at all once I put it to work. S30V and S35vn worked well but they were folders.

I haven't beaten on it too much but I've been carrying and using daily since sharpening it and it's still very sharp..

But if it doesn't it's an easy fix..throw on a 600-800 grit micro bevel and you got the tooth back...I'm really liking the polished bevel with a 800 grit micro bevel on my edc pm2 ...it's the best of both worlds, the tooth edge tears into what your cutting then it just glides across the polished bevel.
