The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

BeeKay,

It is awesome to read what you wrote. Lets us know that se are getting it right. I think there are a few factors here...

Our sub isnt just about knives. Its equally about the activities we do with our blades, which happen to be S!Ks. Look at how many non knife threads there are. Hunting, fishing, harvesting/gathering, non knife gear threads, backyard bushcrafting threads, sheath threads, DIY threads. You name it, its here. You will notce that we dont hate on other companies either. Are we brand loyal? Yes? Are we brand exlusive? No way!

Perfect Riz

Hope they get you fixed up there bud, and that it doesn't cut into your sheath-making and knife-modding time.

My search for blades skipped over the beckers, and since I don't have any I know what you mean, I feel a little out of place posting over there. There are some great guys there, too, though, so it makes me a little regretful sometimes as it's a cool place. About the only time I post is if I'm cruising the Snark and can offer a buddy some moral support.

Having said that, post up in here any time man! I get a kick out of your take on things :) [emoji106]

I really value Guy and Ellie's presence here. Especially Ellie as she's more active on this end of the internet. I love it when Guy posts, too, but hate that it always has to be damage control for him. I like just hearing his take on things, and I enjoy his straight forward talk about what he's created and the thought process involved to get it as he wanted it. I hope they continue rolling with the punches, and let most of the criticism slide off their back.

I think all of the regulars here are going to have to be prepared for what happens every time a new run starts shipping. We are going to see a lot of people posting up that are new to the brand, who are really excited but haven't lived through a cycle yet with all of its ups and downs. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, if you will. Once folks realize how the company works, and get that first GSO in their hands, they tend to be more forgiving, but the struggle for that first S!K can be brutal, and we're going to see posts made in the heat of the moment. I really appreciate all of those who have been there/done that and then take the time to come back here and post up after they've got their blade in their hands.

And I appreciate all of you guys, too. Heck, now I'm getting sappy ;) :D
You need some Becker goodness.. Specifically the 9, & 16... I sold a few blades after getting accustomed with all that's S!K....mainly bc I knew they'd likely never be used again...that included my bk2 and a few tops knives (thou I regret selling the BOB) but those 2 made the cut and even thou the 4.1 replaced the 16 on my belt everyday I can't bring myself to part with it...and the 9 well it's just a chopping beast.

I've been looking at that 16 for awhile. And I can't remember seeing anything negative written about it. It would definitely be on the short list if I pulled the trigger. Thanks for the endorsement Bobby.

Aw shucks, thanks big guy.

We get the occasional flare ups just like hemorrhoids, but with our doctor prescribed ointment of explanations of how the company works and over the counter enthusiasm for the end product we all sit pretty comfortably for the most part.

Thanks for the kind words, there are some great guys here and the participation from Guy and Ellie is just as cool as Ethan's over in our other favorite area.

Always enjoy your posts!

Right back at ya my brother. Yeah I dosed up hard on all that awesome S! medication when I first dropped in. Now I just need to dose up on some knives! And the day Guy or Ellie speak to me personally shall be an oh so fine one!

Love ya Knocks. Don't feel out of place over there bud. We thoroughly enjoy hearing other perspectives, especially from NICE people like yourselves. We do get some Asshats though believe me. Honestly I've always felt very welcome here, even without having an S!K. It's you folks that ultimately bring me back. And the fact that you guys get a kick out of my idiotic ramblings and bizarre tomfoolery just makes me smile. And then giggle. And then laugh uncontrollably. And then smile again in warm retrospect. All because I is cray cray..

Quoted for truth Riz. Hear here mate. I love the thread content that comes up over here. It's great reading and full of sweet information. If there is one complaint I have its that it makes me quell up infuriating jealousy seeing everyone enjoying their beautiful steel and me not enjoying some of that beautiful steel. Soon Springy. Soon.. (seriously dude, stop crying)

By no means am I brand exclusive, however the availability of the Becker range does defs appeal. But now there's 'Here's-some-surplus-Mondays' which I will be watching with baited breath. One way or another guys I WILL have me some S!teel.

Ok. Wild Turkeys starting to kick in. Gonna go and smash me another Bear Grylls Ultimate recycled Chinese bicycle Survival Knife with my BK2. The first one offered no resistance. Let's see how number two holds up..

It's gonna be a long day at work today. Started at 5 and I'll see how long I can stand it. Gotta pack and pick up my buddy to head to my land for turkey hunting this weekend. Contractors should be pouring the concrete for my new pole barn too. Should be an exciting week. I have the GSO 10 and 5.1 with the new Azwelke sheath packed for wood duty. For hunting I brought my BR Bird & Trout in Elmax. Beer bottle duty will go to my orange alox SAK. Pocket will be BM G10 grip in 20cv. I think I'm covered. 😀

Boot knife? You seem a little light there. :D

Well I think you're pretty much covered there Jon. Oh, and yes, FURY is an awesome movie! I watch it about once a week.

Ideals are peaceful. History is violent..

This is an American Tank, we speak American. If you want to speak Mexican, join a Mexican Tank.. (I'm not being racist here BTW, just quoting a line from the movie)

I could go on......

Fury is one of my sons fav movies too. He's 10 but can handle himself. Shoots rifle and pistol better than some men.
