The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Grog,
I didn't upgrade to "craftsman" until I'd actually managed to sell a couple UKEs to people in random threads or along with knives I'd listed for sale, actually used the sales of my first few to pay for the membership itself once I was actually ready to start offering them for sale regularly as opposed to one-offs. What I am saying is, why not build an inventory/gallery of sheaths first, sell a few along the way to pay for supplies perhaps, and only upgrade once you are really ready to advertise and offer them for sale on a regular basis?

Quick google-search of "mantis logo" got me this by "LisaGorska" - second image is just a squished version (the photo, not the bug ;) )

That makes sense to go that route. I just realized they'll prorate the membership upgrade if you've already got a paid membership so that'll help.

I've found some pretty neat looking mantis designs, that's a good one. I can wander around on DeviantArt for hours.

That's wayyyyy too complex to make a good logo.

I can ID many of those, but would love to see a picture of all of them unsheathed and organized so we can know what they are.

Terrible picture, but it's a way to keep them all together.

From left to right.

Ugly Dogs 5160 chopper. Most responsive maker ever, replaced a problematic sheath in a heartbeat.

Fiddleback KE Bushie, Bushraptor, and Bushcrafter.

T. M. Hunt Yuma and Magua. The nicest guy and best thing going on in the custom market IMO.

3/32nd Dogwood slicing machine.

Osprey K/T Apache. Superb handle.

Fall Creek Bushcrafter. Best handle in the business.

Big Chris O1 Hunter, S90V Bushcrafter, 3V Nessmuk. Dude knows his cutting geometry.

NWA Scout. Hate the pointy finger guard, love everything else about it.

AA Forge Bush Seax. Probably the fanciest knife I own.

Smith and Sons Cherokee.

Jac Wilde Skinner. Absolutely lovely.

Man, exsanguination beats a body down. I wanted to go camping tonight but I'm still cleaning blood up from last night and I can't believe how stupid tired I am. Gypsy's birthday porterhouse is brining and I don't even want to stay awake for steak. It's like the flu or something.

Gypsy got her 10th birthday meal finally. Love this little one so much.

Some naughty words. I dunno what was playing in the background but it came across loud and proud.

One lucky dog, wow!

Happy birthday, pretty lady!

Grog, next time though please try to tone down the offensive language. This is me trying to stop the bleeding of my virgin ears
:D

It's into November and I still have peppers ripening up. Definitely not typical Iowa weather. I brought a couple Carolina Reaper containers inside to see if they'll limp through the winter but plants in the ground are still producing.

Yea my grandmother still has tomatoes and fall watermelons that are on the vine. It's even a bit late here in Texas where we should have seen at least one frost by now.
