No, my comment was all on me. I so want to say more but am refraining. My "heaven help us" comment was opening the door to political comments and I'm sure that's not appropriate here.

Well you sons a bitches! I just got back from Cancun, Mexico! Been there since wednesday and had spotty internet connection on the resort. Tried to check in a few times and say hi but I was frustrated. Was a nice little get away...

 
Glad to hear you got away for awhile. Well deserved I'm sure.

I can imagine Mrs. Riz was pretty let down as well ;)
 
I also learned that I friggen love gin and tonic with lime! All inclusive, all you can eat, all you can drink from morning to late at night. Senoritas in bikinis everywhere. No kids. It was nice. Coming back to reality sucks...

Interestingly enough cancun is a destination for the Brits and for the Kanucks! Met a lot of nice people.

Oh man, welcome to the good life! Gin and tonic is pretty great. I fell in love with mojitos on a trip to the Dominican Republic. That was before kids for me, but I swear there is nothing like the feeling of an all inclusive trip, knowing that all the food and drink I can ingest is already paid for. Funnily enough at our resort in the Dominican, we as Americans were the minority. It was mostly Europeans vacationing at the time.

Took Gypsy to the vet today, well, yesterday now. Her perspective, I think.

It's just a little breast cancer, don't worry so much. And don't move your leg, I don't care if you foot is falling asleep.

She goes in next Tuesday for a tumor removal and spaying. Fairly high risk for a 10 year old pooch. I'll have my fingers and toes crossed.
 
That top picture of her under the blanket reminds me of my mom's little weiner dog. She used to crawl under anything that might have been left lying around. Sometimes she'd get under someone's coat and try to burrow down in the sleeves and get stuck and we'd have to rescue her. There'd just be a weenie dog nose stuck out the cuff, ha! I hope everything goes good with Gypsy.

I've definitely pulled her out of a few coat and sweatshirt sleeves.

She will never, ever turn down an extra of those. She will shove her nose under a person's hand if she doesn't think it's being useful doing anything else.
