You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat their pets. It is obvious that you care a lot for your pup, and that you take great care of her. RESPECT! I sincerely wish you and your pup all the best.

Took Gypsy to the vet today, well, yesterday now. Her perspective, I think.

Is it strange to be confused when you try and define the things you throw up in the bathroom sink? I remember the sausage, I remember the shredded chicken, but there's something gumming up the drain that I just can't figure out. Mashed potatoes, part deux? I don't remember the corn or green beans.. or any pot pie in the last couple days. Inquiring minds! And.. don't judge me.. but why is it that sausage sits in the sink just like it did before I ate it. Just a couple chew marks, looks just as good, I could throw it on the grill and be none the wiser. Speaking of which.. Nom Nom.. I'm going to stagger in the direction of that sheath sometime.. dang. Peace be on you friends.

Oh man.......................

Random ramblings, now my weekend is complete :D
I'd hoped to have a completed sheath as my random ramble subject but I drank too much(assuming that's an actual possibility, I think booze is like money and sex, enough is never enough) and dropped some contact cement on my latest endeavor. I can salvage it but it'll trash the finish. I'll be happy to have a nice sheath for my own 5.1, all good.

Speaking of Finnish I watched Enemy at the Gates again recently and got to some reading. I remember some vague references to Finland's resistance in WWII but this guy is amazing. http://www.badassoftheweek.com/hayha.html

It's a BS article as such things go but he's worth reading up on.

That was A great article. Years ago I read a book about Carlos Hathcock. That was pretty cool too. Those sniper guys are total bad asses,

Gypsy got her 10th birthday meal finally. Love this little one so much!

Her big brother Loki

Hey Grog!!
Love those little fur balls!! They are adorable!
As soon as I read you named the male Loki I had to jump in!
This Malamute is our Loki......truly a descendant of the God of Mischief!! Great & fitting name!

Gypsy came home last night. Her belly looks like Frankenstein's face with all of the sutures but she's alive and the tumor is gone so it's a win in my book. She's not eating as well as I'd like but that's probably the Hydrocodone.

I think I felt my blood pressure drop a good number of points when they carried her out of the back room and I saw her wag her tail. My mom went up with me to pick her up and she said I teared up like a baby but she needs new glasses so what does she know.

I made a pretty big ass out of myself stressing out about it in the days before the surgery, that sucked. I was a jerk to people here and was just plain stupid, ticked off all my friends and family that dropped by over the weekend, made my separated wife decide we should go ahead with a divorce, fun all around. Drop a crisis or emergency in my lap and I'm good to go. Having time before the event to dwell on didn't make me a very pleasant or reasonable fella. I've talked this over with Gypsy and advised her that if she likes me as much as she seems to she has to stay healthy. It's her fault of course.[emoji6]

Lots of dissembling and making excuses for myself there but I'm sorry that I was so out of control there for a bit and I hope I'm smart enough to find a healthier way to take out my frustration the next time I have another delayed punch in the mouth heading my way.

I appreciate all of the well wishes that were heading Gypsy's way from you guys, she's taking full advantage of the steak and liver I'm making for her to recover, I'm just glad she's still here to cost me so dang much money.

Grog! I'm REALLY happy to hear that Gypsy is back home with daddy. Positive thoughts and energy will continue to travel your way with everything going on. Way too much to take on all at once. And yeah, I've seen way worse around here from guys with no excuse, so I think you're alright.

Keep us updated!

Sounds like you've had a rough time Grog. I really hope it'll all get better for you and your family from here on!
Best wishes.....

Thanks man, will do. I hope I don't come across like I'm trying to make excuses for being an idiot. There was a backstory, but I was still an idiot :D. Gypsy's giving me the Evil Eye right now but she has to spend two weeks in a kennel and is only out for food, water, and elimination. She didn't care for me holding her in the yard to pee one bit but I guess that's just what you do for individuals you love. I'm absurdly glad that Hydrocodone causes constipation, but I guess I'll have to get over that soon. :barf:

Well, of I had a nickel for every time I've been an idiot in my life I'd have at least 25-30 cents by now :D

Sounds like quite a healing process for your little warrior princess. I hope the recover goes as well as it can.

Glad to hear that the surgery was a success! Best wishes to your pup for a speedy recovery!

Biggest relief of my life. Thank you very much. She's not happy about being in a kennel for two weeks or being on a leash when she goes to the bathroom but man, all things considered, this turned out perfect.

Thank you!
