The Survive! Never Say Die! Chat Thread

Well, of I had a nickel for every time I've been an idiot in my life I'd have at least 25-30 cents by now :D

Sounds like quite a healing process for your little warrior princess. I hope the recover goes as well as it can.
Dang, you'd be .20-.30 cents richer than me, big roller!

Ha!

I'm going to see how many times I can be an idiot this weekend in hopes to save up for a SURVIVE! patch or something.
I whole heartedly endorse that, just wait to publicize it till after the fact so you can sanitize your message a little bit:)

Grog I'm so glad to hear that Gypsy's surgery went well!!
As for all of the other stuff you mentioned, shit happens. Stress is a mother f'er and it'll make us do crazy things.
Give that pup some love for me and spoil her rotten! She deserves it!

Extremely happy for you and that adorable pup Grog!!! One of the hardest things when you have a great pet??? That helpless feeling when you can do nothing for the fuzz ball you love to death when you know they need help!!
Horrible feeling!
More steak for the little cutie!!

It seems like the cold weather is finally coming in to stay which is a bummer but at least it's chili weather now. I've always made chili with beans and tomatoes but finally decided to have a go at making it without.

Pretty dang good tonight, should be great tomorrow. I went way over the top with it. It has a chuck steak, 2 chicken breasts, ground venison, ground turkey, hamburger, pork sausage, and chorizo for the meat base and 7 different kinds of peppers in it. I mostly used milder green chili varieties but a couple habaneros and one Carolina Reaper zipped it up enough to make my forehead sweat. A bottle of Sam Adams Toasted Caramel Bock (fussy sounding but delicious) and a tablespoon of cocoa powder went in too.

It's like a spicy chili pepper-flavored meat stew. I'd have to start selling body parts to be able to afford to make this too often but it was fun.

Gypsy has to stay kenneled unless she's on my lap which she hates but she hung out here in the kitchen and I had a second skillet going for her to have bits of the unspiced meat. She didn't seem to mind that too much. Or maybe it's just the Hydrocodone making her happy. 😀

Wow! As I was reading your ingredient list, I was thinking "meat soup"! I bet your kitchen smells awesome.

Hope Gypsy enjoys hers. She looks pretty peaceful.

Tumbleweeds? Pick up your heels sir😀. The first snow of the year is awfully lovely.

Dad's back was jacked up for a while, we literally nailed that shitty tin roof down right as the snow was coming down. We'd like to say we planned it that way.

Gypsy being a jacked up mess was a pretty big demotivater, got a little bit of work done though.

The offset stamping is fun and looks good but it's sure a pain in the rear.

I don't care for beer very much but a friend of mine told me Blue Moon is good if you squeeze a half slice of orange in with each beer.

It's not terrible but at what point does your beer become a fruit drink?

I screwed up the first 5.1 sheath I did and had to trash the first one I did with this design, I like how it's coming along so hopefully this one works out.

Every once in awhile I get a hankering for a Blue Moon with a slice of orange in it like that. Usually a Corona and lime win out if I'm going that route though.

The sheath work is looking good man.

I didn't drink beer for a while. If I drank, it was scotch or wine. Then I got into IPAs, and my interest in beer was reinvigorated.
