Alright. Stop it! You people never keep a thread serious and on topic. and by "you people", I DO mean every bad way you can take it. I love the RAT Pack peeps, but every thread in this damn forum gets destroyed. Let's do off topic threads for when everyone wants to cut loose and post silly stuff, and keep the rest of these clean. Cool with everyone else? I don't mean to sound like a dick. I'm just tired of sifting through pages of crap to figure out what the hell the thread was about. I love all of you. Please don't think I'm trying to be mean or a party pooper. I know I've contributed to more than my share of yanking threads off topic with a quickness. It was fun for a minute, but now it's hurting us. We've got to start keeping these threads clean and on topic. Time to get back to being the good information sharing RAT Packers we once were.

I hear what Dylside's saying. The mods are a little more lenient in this forum than they are in others- but this still ain't W&C.

I tend to agree. The bacon/jacking crap has gotten out of hand, and while it was funny at first, now it is simply a waste of time.

I can be a hard ass and start tagging peeps but I figure some does not hurt but Yes dylan is right some hijacking needs to stop....
I like the laid back attitude of RAT forum and I can tighten it up and I can become the internet cop and start passing out warnings yellow & red ones and what not... I keep an eye out for name calling & disrespecting other members and let some stuff go like the hijacking/ Nudity ....But I will tighten up the threads more .
Glad you brought this to my attention D-man....;)

I'M IN FULL, 100% AGREEMENT! I'm getting to where I rarely look at all the threads because they are so screwed up. Not blaming anyone. I have equal share in this blame but let's start trying to run a little bit tighter ship, ok?

I'm allergic to cats.

If you’re having an allergic reaction to the cat in the picture you may be miss-attributing symptoms. That’s not a real cat, its just pixels combined in a manner to create the image of a cat....im just fapping wit ya.
So is responding to the post creators following comment off-topic? Or am i staying current with the topic as it changes? ...Is it that we arent to deviate from the first post comment or just not post pics of bacon and booby birds in a thread about knife yoinking? help me out here.

If a topic takes a turn that is rational and along the same original theme, by all means address it accordingly. I don't think that every topic has to end the same as it started. For example, if someone starts a topic about which fire starting method works best and it turns into a discussion about different firesteel properties and then even changes again to which striker works well, good deal. If it gets too far out of range, like if the topic started about fire making and then someone started talking about getting peed on by a black bear, and it wasn't while he was trying to make a fire, that's bad. You can start a brand new thread to talk about that. Also, posting silly pictures just for thr sake of posting or trying to make people laugh, it's not an sbolute no no, but try to limit it. If someone else already did it, appreciate their selection of a good picture, but don't retort with your own. The silly pictures have a tendancy to go crazy real quick. Get where I'm going? Just keep things reasonably on topic. If the topic evolves, cool. If it totally changes direction to useless shit, that's a no-go.

Thanks for stating this Dylside. I felt the same but because of my relative "newbie" status, I felt that if I said something along these lines, it would be ignored.

I agree 100%.
