Back in the ...Sunday Morning Sunshine

I don't know how I missed this but I love this photo. I can feel the morning sun.

Thanks Kevin and Gevonovich, both more than welcome to stay over if for some strange reason you fancy some time in my wet cold country;)

The Billhook is a joy to use, very cathartic working around a fire in the middle of the woods on a crisp winters day. Anyway, I digress...:)

Thank you Sir! You comment really means a lot to me

I don't know exactly where you are in the UK, whether it be England, Ireland, Scotland, or Wales but I always wanted to visit. Working around a fire on a crisp winters day....priceless!! I thank you for the invite!!

Always wanted to visit the Bwlch Crest in South Wales with a slope glider too

You're welcome, I live in South Wales, not far from Bwlch crest:)

Well I'm late to the party, but I just had a chance to get the photos off my camera. Here's what I did last Sunday:

This is some sort of strange look out or observation deck. The sign says it's a private residence. There is a booth that rides on a rail to go up and down the cliff. Looks like something that belongs on that tv show LOST

Hey 37!!!! Quit fiddle-farting around and tell us where it is will ya (Ed says errrrrrrrr types in a laughing manner). Wouldn't 140-miles south put it in Carlsbad/Oceanside/ or around there somewhere?

Vic, I found shooting auto bracketing with a VERY sturdy tripod and a remote shutter release works. Here are a couple of mine from a while ago playing around.

Here is a thread I started in the photography section that includes HDR/exposure fusion/focus stacking. Some pro's stopped in to give some very useful info also.

Maybe worth a look http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-Dynamic-Range-Exposure-Fusion-Focus-Stacking

Since then I have refined my flow even more :)

getting closer :p

This is Blacks Beach, between Scripps pier and Torrey Pines state beach. One of the best beach breaks in the country if you're a surfer. The waves were pretty small on Sunday though so I didn't bring my board.

That's a nice one, I'm sure that area under the gazebo would've look much different with a single exposure. I do use auto bracketing and use the self timer. I think for me it comes down to the tripod and the software. I'm just shooting with a point and shoot (S95) so I rarely (never) have a large tripod, sometimes I have a gorilla pod. Most of my photography is just in the moment type stuff or landscape shots, which the S95 does a good job with. I guess I'm just playing around with all the possibilities given my particular set of tools.

The good thing about the s95 is you don't have a heavy mirror slapping around :) I would be willing to bet it could be software auto aligned it incorrectly? Idk, but good luck and I look forward to seeing more.

I know where Blacks Beach is. I lived in Imperial Beach and San Diego for years. Blacks Beach eh - hope you weren't sunbathing au-natural in front of that bird.

Yeah, size is a major factor for me. I just wouldn't carry a camera around if it was much bigger than the S95. As it is, sometimes I just go with the iPhone and call it a day

HAHA nope not me, this is in the clothing required half of the beach, I've never actually been to the other half
