I'm pretty sure the only stonewashed portion on these is the that stripe down the middle. At least that's how it looks to me.

i think the primary grinds were stone washed too no? from the way the way the light is hitting it looked like theres that stonewash speckly finish there too. I even want to say the back and the ring portion look similar.

This all said I am squinting pretty hardd to make it out.

Just an illusion, the whole blade is stonewashed but the reflecting bevels being much lighter make it appear differently.

Most Of my Busse knives are maroon. Two orange n black and one red n blk. My first buy, after a long buying hiatus and becoming unfamiliar withthe newer black micarta, was the forsaken battle mistress. The black wasn’t very dark- mostly a salt n pepper look. I like darker black micarta. My first Busse from way back, the steel heart 2 (A2) has black linen (paper?) micarta. it’s great!! Why isn’t blk linen offered anymore ? So it’s been maroon ever since… and I also concur… very classy

I concur.. of all my handles the maroon are the sexiest imo. I don't have any of the exotic ones like the Stonehenge, Tequila Sunrise, or Snow (I think it's called) type

Maroon is classy. That was my choice as well.

All around, maroon the best color imo… with red/black being a close 2nd Orange/back is cool too when the orange to black ratio is balanced just right.
