I too, thought of posting about clear acrylic as well as, saw cut acrylic. Not sure what color for that saw cut though.

In the way of materials, we will likely have quite a bit to choose from...the real constraint is probably how much we want the knife to cost.
I don't mind doing the different mock-ups. I feel like it helps reduce the churn when we start doing polls (and it is fun to dream a little) :)

Which list is this you're referring to? The mods have already compiled a list?
 
My problem with the flippers is that if they flood the "I want one/two/three list" there could be genuine porch members that miss out on getting on the list. There needs to be some sort of criteria that allows legitimate porch members to fill out the list before flippers are allowed. It might be as simple as saying "one knife per person only". If there was a search protocol that checks members' postings... anybody with 90% or greater posts in the buy/sell threads are considered flippers... I don't know how that would be done, though.
Either way, I'm not going to sweat it. I either get one, or I don't. I'd love to have one or two of them, but life is too short to worry about a knife.
 
My only concern with the jigged bone is that gec is no doubt already planning to do a jigged bone with this 86. I dont know about everyone else but id think it would be best for this knife to stand out from the other 86 releases this year. I will say the jigged bone does look wonderful though.
