The unofficial - official Chris Reeve Cheering Section

Well... my small micarta 21 (S35VN) is what I carry when I'm not at work. It's doing fine after handling the usual house / garden / animal feeding chores. No rolls, no chips, no runs, no errors. And my two dog paw Sebbies are still getting buried with me when I go.

And... I just shipped off two plain 21's to a couple of family members for Christmas for them to "inherit" 'cause I 've carried and used them for a time and I didn't want to sell them to somebody outside of our clan.

Don't let man-childs with delusions of scientific methodology and internet fame get you down.

We don't need no stikin reviews to tell us what works or doesn't. CRK works :)

I gotta add a little.

It just blows my mind that much of the younger crowd will believe anything they see/hear on the internet.
I know Anne and Chris from many Blade shows, and would believe them over any collage kid doing their home made cutting test. The collage kid referance is just an example of how some thin skinned kids act these days, I name no names, just an example.

It also blows my mind that many expect Chris to spend alot of time on the internet(as Sal does).Chris doesn't have the time, nor does he care to spend much of his time on the internet. Unreal that many don't get this:confused:
Nothing wrong with the owners that do like to spend alot of time on here, but Chris is not one of them.

I mentioned how great the knives are in a prior post, but didn't mention there great CS.

I bought a plain small sebenza in 2005, and that same week I got my Blade magazine announcing the Micarta Sebenza would debut at Blade 05. I called Anne and asked her if I could bring my new sebenza to the show and swap it for the new micarta. I didn't buy it direct from CRK, and expected her to say no. To my supprise she told me to bring it to the show and I could swap it out.

I had just got the plain and never used it, but had put matte pins in it. They swaped it out and changed the pins for me, and was as kind about it as they could be.
This past year I showed Anne my well worn BG42 small regular, and asked about getting a refurb. Anne suggested I leave it with her so I wouldn't have to pay the shipping. They had the knife back to me in a month.

IMO they not only make the best production folder, but also have the best CS out there:thumbup:

BTW, I'm not a fanboy of any one company, I have over 100 knives from other manufactors.

I just ordered my 18th Sebenza, a large blackwood 21. I have one on me at all times. I love the fact that the Sebenza is something: I use, tinker with, marvel at, hold for good luck during critical times of meaningfull sporting events, etc. In other words, the Sebenza has integrated into my life.
And if I had to our wanted to, I could sell them for what I have in them, that is not something you can say about most discretionary purchases.

I am quickly becoming a CRK fanboy, so I thought I would chime in. :D

My first CRK was the Nyala, bought at my semi-local dealer (190 miles away). I got a chance to handle a LOT of Sebenzas there and was very impressed. Shortly after I got a small CG Enigma. It took a little while, but I have come to love that small Sebenza. Taking it apart and putting it back together really impressed me as far as the ease and simplicity. Truly precision-made and minimalist. The design is so well thought-out in terms of size, blade shape, materials. It has everything it needs and nothing that it doesn't. In my opinion this knife is as close to perfect as possible. I am a knife nut though, so I have and carry many different knives, but the Sebenza is on a pedestal for a reason.

CRK also appears to be a class-act in terms of integrity, customer service, etc. I have great respect for that.

This one kinda reflects my feelings overall

This one was kind of a tribute thread

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/816496-Just-Pictures-Comments

This one shows how I felt when folks complained about S30V

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/741881-S30V-Sharpening

This does not include all of my CRK forum posts nor real life support for the company. I still don't consider myself a fanboy. Just a guy that appreciates the company and product.

With that said, I like to see the good with the bad...but like Ken44 mentioned the disrespect can be left out.

Need I say more? :D

No dought about it Lisa, the Sebenza is the best production folder being made.

They have the best manufacturing quality, and the straight handled design of the Sebenza is hard to beat.

Great customer service and tight tolerances in production what more could you ask for?

I loved the lg Sebenza and it broke my heart to sell all 4 of mine. :D

Uber expensive & unobtainable??

Here is one I posted in "General Discussion" a while back. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/760899-The-Folder

I think that may show how firmly I believe in the design of the Sebenza.

I have recommended the Sebenza to so many people that have purchased them. Any time something new is implemented there is a chance it will need tweaks to get it just right. It may have been perfect on paper or in the tested samples, but then it gets out in the masses and problems arise. I just want to see the best product out of CRK. Thats all out of me, I hope you see my posts as positive, because that is my intention.

JThanks for this Brilliant Idea Lisantica!!
All negatives where bugging me little as well, and Im happy you took this initiative!!!

Hurray for CRK. Im the proud owner of a (sadly only one) Chris Reeve Sebenza, and I am very impressed.
More will surely follow, despite of what they cost in Europe

Well, I've never held one, but... Just kidding guys :) I love the Sebbie design. The fit finish and functionality of the Sebbies is damn near perfect. There is a reason that he gets the Blade Production Award every year.

I love my CRK's and carry them just about 24/7. Love the fact that Chris makes a dedicated left hand folder. At home it's my large insingo or my large micarta classic. I'm currently waiting for my large 2011 LE. At work it,s my blackwood minandi in my shirt pocket. Love their products and love their service!

I'm sorry to here that. Many of us run into hard times. Good luck, and I'm sure you'll be able to get another lg sebenza that you loved so much.

edit- at least I think your serious. surely you wouldn't troll Lisa's nice clean thread.

No, a guy suggesting he'd buy a fake Sebenza because of the awesome savings wouldn't do that, would he?;)

At the end of the day, it's different strokes for different folks, but some seem to think it has to be an either/or decision as to what one should like.

Sebenzas are the best balanced folders that you could ask for in an edc. It doesn't have the thickest blade or quarter inch titanium slabs. It has just the right balance of strength while being slim and compact for such ease of carry. Male and female screws go through three points on the knife for great rigidity and strength. Pocket clip designed with two points of contact for sure grip. Lock bar hardened and fitted just right to prevent it moving over to ensure a life time of use. Pivot bushing with such tight tolerances that no matter how hard you tighten the pivot the blade will open freely with just the right tension. And there's a lot more I can go on and on with but I'm sure you guys already know :)
