The unofficial - official Chris Reeve Cheering Section

I'm not a collector, I purchase knives to use them. That said, I have about ten non Chris Reeve folders I purchased trying to find a knife I liked. Now they just sit there unused; I'll probably get around to selling them at some point. Since I purchased my first Mnandi I have been a fan of CRK and the Sebenzas that followed merely reaffirmed my opinion that CRK makes the finest folders available.

A 3" blade that is street legal is all I need in the city and the small standard Sebbie is such a great, minimalist design I see no need to go any farther. It is lightweight, it is small and easy to carry, it is less hard on your pockets than just about any other folder, the blasted finish on the grips is adequate when cold and wet, you never have to adjust the pivot tension, the blade can be sharpened to shaving sharpness and keeps an edge, there simply isn't anything there you don't need, there is everything there you will need, did I mention you never have to adjust the pivot tension, CRK customer service is of the same level of quality as their products.

I consider the Sebenza the standard against which all other folders are measured.

I'd probably like his fixed blades just as well but I'm already well stocked on fixed blade knives with some Doziers and others.

I have to say, I have been a hard core Strider guy for many years, but after seeing Lisa's
collection, I had to try a CRK out and see what so many were liking about these knives....
Well I have to say I am impressed with CRK, where I have been so used to paying a bit
over $500 for knives that the fit and finish was not always great, even though Striders
are built tuff, I like the well rounded fit and finish of the CRK. They fit well in hand, and
are sweet cutters.....and crap they look great!! Well I have sold off most of my strider
collection in the last month, even some of the limited editions and started buying CRK....
I bought 2 last week....my first was a Large Sebenza 21 with snake wood inlays and then
I bought a Umnumzaan with the new blade stop. Now this week I find myslef ordering a
Large Sebenza 21 “Ole Glory” with reverse silver contrast & stainless steel Rain Drop Damascus
so I guess the sickness has hit me hard......Thanks
Lisa for getting me so interested in these wonderful knives....

I'm a Striderholic too, CRK knives have their place and they're a great example of precision and what happens when you persevere to do something right the first time around. I'm constantly in the grey area between the two and I'm always exchanging one for the other. The score is CRK: 4, Strider: 3

One at a time of course :)

You're welcome :) I do have two Striders, although one may be sold, but I'll likely keep my Duane Dwyer custom as it has tiger etching on the blade and back scale and I love animal motifs.

^^Yea I have a few Striders that I will not part with, I love the Strider Mini SJ75
I think it is one of my favorite Striders to date, and the K.V.A. makes a great
little neck knife which was Marisa's Striders first blade that she made.
