The upcoming, anticipated, way-too-excited GEC 85's Thread!

Don't worry about the cracks. They shouldn't go anywhere. I love the way that they look!

Thanks Al, I'm envious of your collection. A lot of character in that stag - looks like it's been worn smooth carried around for decades.

I really wondered how the Smooth Autumn Gold would match up with my other 2 knives with the same Color ??? of covers. Result is that they all are differant from each other.

Harry, that's one of the first things I did with my Autumn Gold Bone 85s... compared them to others. I like the variations! And they sure are purdy!

Got my antique yellow jigged bone sabre grind today and am really impressed, beautifully done knife! Wish I'd gotten in early enough for the flat ground blade in these same covers, but the sabre grind is actually quite nice too! Just love that big fat nosed flat grind spear.

This one definitely came razor sharp right out of the tube.

Finally!

Well worth the wait... gorgeous knives, all of them.

The 2-blade yellow will be going right into the pocket.

Beautiful, tstaut... glad you lived to see them! ;)

All these pics are killing me!

Pretty sure I'm going to be the last kid on the block to get his 85's.... today according to the USPS. :-(

Donutsrule I'd be very happy with that stag. But if you're not, I'll bet plenty of folks would be happy to trade with you. I would...

After a long wait (well worth it), I got my single blade polished stag in hand and I couldn't have asked for better covers. Was a bit worried as I opened the wax paper ;)
but I'm very happy with how this turned out.

That looks great, Tim!

There's a lot of variation in these polished stag covers. I like it!

Thanks Barrett. I agree each piece has very nice variety in how they were polished and the markings that remain.

I'm willing to give GEC a mulligan for this one, because the the Smooth Autumn Gold Bone is rather nice. Just wondering if there's someone out there who ordered a SAGB that received my Natural Micarta...

Look at how nicely it cooperates some of the other family members!

Wow amazing! Some of the best stag I've seen! Great looking knife

My bunch arrived today. I forgot that I ordered the smooth bone, it's very cool! I'm gonna need a bigger display for my 85's.
