The upcoming, anticipated, way-too-excited GEC 85's Thread!

Where did you find that picture? I've checked GEC's "what's happening" but I don't see anything other than the bloodwood slab picture.
I REALLY hope I can get on the list for that polished stag.

Maybe I'm just real anxious for the 85's to start production, but it feels like the Vipers are taking forever!

Those gold bones look great, as do the bloodwoods. I really hope some of you jokers have pulled out of the blood wood so I can get mine. I think I'm first on the standby list.

Glad I'm not the only one wringing his hands with excitement. Dying to see what that Scandi is going to look like, I have two on preorder!

I was torn whether or not to preorder a scandi blade. My guess is it will turn out like the northwoods scandi blade. Pic credit KSF

I asked Mike on a Facebook group and he said he had something different in mind than the Northwoods grind.

But he didn't go into any more detail.

I hope the gold bones turn out dark like Mike wanted... They don't look as dark as last years NF barlow at this point in the process.

They posted a few new pics today.

So far I am liking the canvas micarta again. It will go good with my canvas micarta barlow and bullnose.

Also wanting to see this Scandi blade....looks like he locked the reservations so anything else I get will be as he gets them.

Check this out... I was looking at the 85's JBF made and this is a picture from GEC during the production process.. old pic.. unfinished knife, but when I saw it I thought of your post.

EDIT! lol, um, sorry... this is a pen in front of a spear blade. Thanks for pointing that out guys.... I will blame it on my work computer monitor...

I'm excited about the Antique Yellow and Smooth Autumn I have lined up! These are looking good.

That looks like the standard flat grind with a swedge. Of course the pen is open in front of the spear, so it's hard to really tell what's going on there.

Yup - for a moment I didnt notice the spear being a separate knife and thought it was the blade flats! The world is not upside down anymore.
