I was watching a clip talking about the weapons used in the new season. Apparently, Gerber donated many of the new Bear Gryls line to the set. I found that interesting. Anyone want to comment?

Cant wait for the new season to start , we just re-watched last season a week or so back in anticipation.

As far as Gerber donating ? I have no comment aside from the producers were obviously not as choosy as some of us about what knives they used in the show. :D

Just too bad AMC cut the budget and fired all the writers that made the show work.

Thanks for AMC link, just saw the webisodes...freak'n zombies...

At least there was a knife in there, looked like a machete that Andrew was packing into the bag... in webisode 5.

Just started the series. Liked the Buck 110 in the first episode, not sure a Bear Grylls knife would survive a zombie apocalypse.

I'm excited but disappointed with the budget cuts. I guess all they could afford was the Bear Grylls Walmart Survival Kit.

Loved the last season, I'm really hoping this upcoming one isn't too bad. AMC can make a great show if they want to.

I figure the Gerber Bear Grylls knives (note I said knife and not multitool) were the only knives left in the Walmart the main cast came across, and they had to make due.

Gerber probably has truckloads of Bears knives that aren't selling so why not donate some and get an advertising credit at the end of the show? :p

Makes sense if these guys are scavenging from the dead. Most of the masses would pick up the Gerber line from Wal-Mart because they saw it on tv and most of the masses wouldn't know the first thing about survival(hence they become the walking dead).

Seriously... just stop the nothing but crapping on the BG line. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. Sure, their steel isn't awesome, but it could be worse. The build is sturdy on both the machete and fixed blade. Endlessly whining about "how bad they are" will just get this thread buried in W&C.
