The Walking Dead....New Weaponry

drinking your own urine 20 minutes away from a holiday inn is NOT the same as surviving a zombie attack.

seriously LOL

But on a related (to the OP) note, If you think the show is good, you should read the comics. consistently excellent. And on a related to blades note, I can't wait until they introduce Michonne on the show!

Already on the comics....started to read them when they first came out. A lot better than the TV show. And yes, I wonder what Katana they'll give her. Hopefully not a POS///

Never noticed a Busse. Any screen shots available?
I found this online. I didn't spend a ton of time looking for a better shot of it, so it's hard to see, but if you look at Daryl (the guy with the crossbow), you can just see the handle of the Team Gemini on his right hip.
I haven't watched the second season yet, so I don't know if any other Busse's make an appearance.

Looking forward to the new season. Cutting the budget was a bad move on AMC's part. If the show starts to turn south, I can still read the comics.

The BG machete is actually decent. They would probably sell a ton if they upgraded the steel and removed the BG logo.

It's funny that they included the spoon in her arsenal. (If you've read the comics, you'll get the reference.)

I'm confused - not being a horror flick watcher unless it's in outer space like Aliens.

Anyway, there's a thread going on about showing your zombie killing weapons - some nice stuff there but you all probably have seen it.

So is there a difference between a thoroughbred zombie and a walking dead thing? Please clarify? And is this thread about what weapons these walking deads carry or what weapons are good for wasting them?

Thanks!! :D

The survivors (the cast) now carry Bear Gryls knives because Gerber donated a few to the set. Walking dead are the same as regular zombies. Just a different name.

Thanks - those pesky critters. They had some fast ones in a movie that I didn't see much of the other day. Will Smith and his dog against zombies that had mad skills! I noticed the part before I turned it that there zombie dogs got zapped when they they came after Will and hit a beam of fading sunlight! Vombies! :D

They were at Ft. Benning and didn't pick up an M-4 or 3, ot an M-2 that were on at least 2 of the HUMVEES, or an M240 that were seen on other vehicles with lots of ammo. Hmmmm. These folks are too dumb to know what a good knife is.

Yeah this bothered me a little bit as well. I can appreciate going with a weapon your intimately familiar with, whether it's a 12 g pump or a single shot .22, but walking past dead troops with M4's (maybe some with optics), and not slinging one or two over your shoulder, seems a little slow on the take...still, cool and fun program.

My question is why they haven't all gotten bats or machetes? Shooting the guns like they always do does nothing but deplete ammo and attract nearby zombies. A melee weapon weapon never needs reloading, too.

Well, in the comic Rick takes the hatchet from the barn (along with the horse). Michonne has a Katana. A few use shovels. In the prison, Glen uses a knife around the fence border.

You really are an expert on everything! I've been having a bit of trouble maintaining a good keyhole on 6'' schedule 40 pipe using 6010 rod in the 6g position. Any tips?

2 questions. 1) What on earth are you talking about? 2) Why such an attitude of snarky superiority?

I'm talking about SMAW, of course. I just figured that since you weigh in on so many different topics with sage advice, perhaps you'd have some for me.

just to clarify, if they shamble and moan "braaaaaains" they are zombies. if they move faster than a shuffle and just want to hurt you those are infected humans and NOT zombies.

dear god why are you doing a root pass with 6010? get some 7018 for the root and then have at it with the 6010, and 6" no less?! I cant fathom the amount of time it'd take to weld that sucker with 6010, how come your not using a larger rod like 10018? (for filler that is)
