The Walking Dead Season 3 Thread...

Just watched the recent epi myself, same questions as pap11y.

i would speculate, he's an abnormal head collector who hoards women.

Now, what is strange, i expected the heads in the aquariums to have moving eyes and stuff... that would have made it i a bit more interesting. :barf:

They did.

This show has gone down hill... heads in jars...

That's not just in the show. It's in the comics, too, almost 6 years ago. If you think that it's going down hill because it's insulting your sensibility, at least they didn't include Penny. Or not yet?
But if you think it's going downhill because it's starting to dramatically show the sociopathic side of people in the collapse of government... great  :D

I thought that I saw their eyes move too, but I don't think that they (the directors/producers) wanted to make it obvious...but if you remember the zombies that Michonne beheaded in the store, they were still "animated" as if they were unaffected by the separation even after hitting the floor. We know that they don't need to breathe, so sitting in a tank full of water wouldn't "kill" them...at least not right away, right? Still pretty damn freaky...!:barf:;):D:D

ETA: OK, just checked. Yes, you can see eyes & mouths moving. The pilot does NOT appear to be shot in the head, and his eyes do move. Looks like he got beheaded while alive...

Exactly. The scene with the heads in the fish tanks was pretty much ripped from the comics. The Governor in the comics is a pure psychopath and Kirkman and the producers said they weren't planning on holding back with him for the show either. I just wonder how they're gonna handle what he does to Michonne and in turn what she does to him. Very brutal stuff.

On the other hand, he seems to be a consistently mellow guy in the show. The comics portray him as very emotional, and he changes dramatically between his manipulative leader persona and his secret psychopathic persona. He doesn't seem to scream much, raise eyebrows, blink, or anything in the show, and everything is really calculated. Very cool, calm guy. It's just his first episode, though.

That calm coolness he has in the show also makes him that much more menacing when you realize just how nuts this guy is.

We might not get to see anymore of the Governor this Sunday, it will probably be an episode with the prison crew only. I don't seem to care about what is going on over there anymore, I want to learn more about this evil little community!

It seems like they are going to switch back and forth between the Governor and the prison. From what the previews showed on Sunday, the next episode looks like some things might go down with the prison crew. I can't wait! The Governor creeps me out a bit with the heads

This may have been covered but did anyone else notice when he grabbed the rifle off the dead soldier it had no rear sights

I thought everyone had a secret alone time room full of pickled zombie heads?

I bet that book store by Knob Creek with the "private rooms" has zombie heads in them :D

Yup no rear sight and no optics.

Yup, covered

I don't know what bothers me more. The Rifle with no rear sights or optics, the maglight suppressor with no way of attatchment, or the fact that the semi auto pistols' slides don't move when they are fired

Maybe they should stick to knives.

Since someone mentioned it, I cant get past the cross bow dude shooting a zombie then pulling out the arrow and putting it in his mouth....

I still love this show regardless of all these inconsistencies..
