The Walking Dead Season 3 Thread...

Great episode. Though having read all of the novels I'm really not sure where it all came from. Lori does die, but not like that.

I was thinking she was still around as well but Kirkman has confirmed that she isn't.

Comic spoiler ahead and possible spoiler for the TV series

That reminds of when Rick tried to persuade Morgan to shoot his turned kid. He just couldn't do it and ended up shooting apart the shackles on the kid instead.

However, it's not like they're hundreds of miles apart and can't check on Lori's body.

I was wondering how they were going to go about killing Lori off. There's no way they could pull of what they did in the comic.

There is approximately 1 gun per person in the United States. When the majority of the population is zombified, there would be a gazzilion guns laying around.

Heck, half of everyone I know has at least one AR15. Those who don't have AK47s, Mini14s, or some other long arm.

If we had a zombie outbreak in my city, we sure as hell wouldn't be carrying snub nose revolvers as a primary weapon.

That's reality.

when every house has a person or several persons in it, and you don't know if there still in there, every single house becomes a threat to your life. In this zombie world it's a little 'safer' feeling because they are releatively slow zombies - but consider the amount of force it takes to rend flesh with your teeth - these zombies are as strong as people who don't know better than to avoid hurting themselves. Now consider if you were in 28 days later z-land. Every person is raging out on PCP, can't feel pain and they aren't trying to eat you - they just want to see you dead. Eating you is just an aspect of the agression. Now every house is a *serious* threat to your life, where your speed of aiming, accuracy and reaction times are pushed to the absolute limit in every single encounter, in every single house, in every single store, in every single street corner.

Just because supplies are available doesn't mean they're easy or safe to get to. Likewise consider how much ammo will be spent needlessly in beginning. Those who have guns are liable to use them. Those who use guns incorrectly will use them until they're out of ammo, and then it's less useful than a machete. Those who use them correctly will use them until they're out of ammo but have a high body count - which doesn't really help you in the ammo department.

I'm pretty sure Rick had a Benchmade Contego tonight when he chopped open the belly of the zombie that had apparently eaten Lori!

Ok didn't realize carrol was mia not kia. My bad, wife was asking lots of questions during show. That walker who apparently had himself 2nds 3rds and 4ths was funny. I felt the same way during the show, hada big dinner which I hadn't have for 2 months

I don't really understand the deal with that one that went to town on Lori's body. Two zombies could not finish T-Dog's body, but one zombie did to Lori's? What about all the bones--I've never seen any other corpse whose bones were also eaten. And how did her whole body fit inside that belly? I also don't think a zombie would be so picky and meticulous so as to find and discard a bullet from inside a body, either. It feels like something isn't consistent, and I wonder if Lori isn't actually still around somewhere because Carl couldn't bring himself to actually shoot Lori in the brains.

Unless I looked away for a second and missed the "rest" of Lori's remains... in which case, :foot:

That episode was insane! Did that zombie eat Lori's remains?! It's stomach was huge and her body was gone..... maybe Carl didn't shoot her and she is walking around all zombified looking for them!

I'm pretty sure that Carl didn't have the stomach to shoot his mother in the head to keep her from coming back a zombie.

The fact that Rick is still hell bent on searching the prison tells me that she died and then came back as a zombie.

She's got to be somewhere in the prison and Rick knows it, he's going to put her down once he finds her....;)

The director was on Talking dead and said the zombie with the swollen belly ate Lori, he even had some of her hair sticking out of his mouth and on his face. So don't think shes walking around anywhere.

Ahhh thank you!

When he found the bullet I took it as Carl just shot into the floor, no other bullets where ever found or shown before.I bet with having the baby all the hormones probably helped her survive and she's afraid Rick is still mad and gonna kill her anyway because it's Shanes baby.

How intriguing :)

I love when they keep us guessing... I still can't decide id Lori is dead or undead :)
