The Walking Dead Season 3 Thread...

That's not just in the show. It's in the comics, too, almost 6 years ago. If you think that it's going down hill because it's insulting your sensibility, at least they didn't include Penny. Or not yet?
But if you think it's going downhill because it's starting to dramatically show the sociopathic side of people in the collapse of government... great  :D

Hahaha, They did now! Include Penny, that is!

I was just reading The Road to Woodbury. I'll say it again that the Governor is a lot more emotional in the books and comic... I wonder how far else they'll go in the TV series to show how sick he is. It seems like a lot of people want this arc to be over with already :(

Ok, since we're formulating the rules for fighting zombies, let me refer you to a little cult classic called "Zombieland."

If the folks in TWD paid more attention to these, they might be more successful in their plight for humanity.. here are the first eight, you can find the rest with your favorite search engine...

1. Cardio
2. The Double Tap
3. Beware of Bathrooms
4. Wear Seat Belts
5. No Attachments
6. The “Skillet”
7. Travel Light
8. Get a Kick Ass Partner
...

I think, with the possible exception fo the "Skillet," you will find most of these have been of value in TWD ;-)

Awesome! Love that movie!

Maybe the rotting? Maybe the zombie virus/fungus does something to them? Or maybe the director just doesn't know better. Or he wants something more dramatic :) the hunt for that drama though has sacrificed a lot of consistency and verisimilitude in this season, in my opinion.

Yeah it seemed like in season 1 the zombies had much stronger bones. I am pretty sure its difficult to stick something through a skull in real life

I at least want it to hit another gear which I am sure it will when Daryl and his brother are reunited (assuming they will be)

Hardy Har Har Mark, thank you for fixing that more me! My mistake!

:D

Sounded like you were thinking about Shane too hard and had a typing error.

It happens.

On a related note, I like psyco Rick, psycho Shane was kind of an ass but psycho axe weilding Rick is awesome.

Lori..................well...........zombie food

Psycho Rick is scaring me, he needs to keep his sanity and continue being the sane leader of the group.

Don't tell anyone, but I cried like a baby (well, as much as I can cry like a baby lol) when Lorrie died :( The hole exchange with her saying goodbye to Carl killed me, then when he, yeah... That was the most emotional I've gotten over a movie/tv show since... man, I can't even think since when...

I kinda like psycho Rick, he's more badass with that axe than Abe Lincoln vs. vampires lol

I am a big fan of the new Rick. And Carl is freaking awesome now also. I will admit last season I was ready for Carl to go away but now........... AWESOME.

Garth

Agreed, last season I was ready for them to use Carl as zombie bait and if he got ate, well, sh*t happens, this season seems like his pair has dropped and he gets stuff done

I can take Carl a little better now but the cowboy hat still makes him seem like a kid playing cowboy.

Well in last season Rick decided that:

- they should stay looking for the girl
- Not to deal with shane (which nearly killed him)
- not to kill walkers (in the shed) and they never would have found the girl...

I like the way the season ended in that Rick was questioning himself. Had his decisions based on efforts to maintain his and the groups humanity been beneficial or detrimental?

I am constantly asking myself what I would do in the situation and can't easily come up with an answer..

I wonder about the significance of the sound of the baby crying before you hear the phone ring. Is that to highlight the fact that he is imagining the call?

I love how it keeps me guessing :)

+1 on the zombie skull softness. Whats with that...

I would figure that as the zombies rot the bones do as well and maybe become more fragile, unless of coourse they are newly zombified zombies.

Just watched the episode last night and want to go back to Carol (FTR, I was sure Lori had crawled off somewhere). If Carol isn't dead, just MIA, then who was in the grave that Daryl visited, putting the prairie (?) flower there, and with the "C" on it?

Up until that point, I thought she was missing. Are they now digging empty graves?

I vote carl lose the dumb hat and get a high and tight. The phone call got me asking more questions. I wonder if there are more prison people? If so, I'm sure rick will axe the questions over and over again. (Get it, get it? Axe them questions) ok I'm off to bed

I have been thinking the same thing. First, no one has seen Carol dead, but no one has went looking for her either. Generally that is the first thing they do when someone is missing. They all run around like chickens with their heads cut off until they find the person. And then the grave scene. The last thing I would do in a world where you are always on the defensive is waste energy digging an empty grave.

In regard to Carol, they found her head-scarf in that mass of gore in the hallway, and probably just assumed that she was part of that mass of gore. That's the sense I got, anyway...

good point. I can understand a grave marker or something, but they went all out digging holes. I guess they figured they had the two inmates' manpower anyway.

I still need to watch Abe kill vampires thank you for reminding me! What is it with all the men liking psycho Rick though? He is going to get himself killed and needs to take a chill pill.

Oh and I totally cried when Lori was saying her goodbyes to Carl too, it is awesome you could admit that you cried because I wasn't going to! :D lol.
