The Watches CRK People Wear...

Great combo and photo.

In about a week I'll have an Omega SMP 2254.50 on the wrist. One of 3 of my grail watches on the list, and I've been chasing it for quite some time now. Very excited and happy about my purchase.

I am actually seeking the 2220.80 and going to throw it on the Omega mesh bracelet. Congrats on obtaining a grail! What are the other 2 grails on your list?

USPS lost my package that was "guaranteed" to be delivered to me yesterday, via overnight...So I currently do not have any grails, but thank you. I started the investigation, yadda yadda. The other two are a Rolex BLNR GMT II and a 116610LV Submariner. Not really "grail level" watches if you think about the 3 of them but, they are to me.

The 2220.80 looks excellent on a mesh band! I hope you find the one for you very soon! I like that iteration of the SMP very much but, I am not a fan of the skeleton hands vs. the sword hands found on the 2254.50. That's the main reason I've been after the 2254.50 for so long, I just love the look of the sword hands on the wave dial and those thick markers.

Hopefully that gets resolved soon! The Rolex BLNR GMT II is a grail of mine as well! Gorgeous watch...

I just cant get behind the new SMP with ceramic bezel. It looks nice but I wish they would have kept the wave dial. That is the only reason why I didn't pick one up.

Thank you my friend, I'm a bit on edge, but things tend to work out if allowed to. I agree about the lack of a wave dial. Why?! I must say though, I am a big fan of the latest PO series. Very good looking watches. I have noticed that the co-axial watches (2500/8500) seem to "sweep" a bit choppier than the 1120 in my inbound SMP. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but I don't know, it just doesn't look as smooth, regardless of still moving at 8bps (IIRC). As large as the full-size Planet Ocean's are, they wear quite comfortably and don't look too goofy, even on my 7" wrist.

Seiko and Sebenza. They just seem to go together.

My brother just gave me this watch as a late Christmas gift. I really like it.

I have one of those. That particular Casio is quite desirable and has quite a following.
It's discontinued and has tripled in value. I wonder where your brother got it.

Yes I know I need to get around to getting pictures posted. Anyway, small Sebenza, Rolex GMT IIc 116710, Rolex Exp II 16570, Omega Speedmaster Pro, G-Shock MTG-S1000.

I wondered about that. I figured that someone would be desiring it (since I could find NO information about it on the web).

Supposedly, he has a friend that worked for Casio and has a huge collection of casios. This friend gave it to my brother (display stand, directions, and watch) and he had no use for it so he passed it on to me.

The closest thing I could find on the web was 40 bucks, but not exactly the same. I like it, but the band seems small-ish for me. But I have worn it every day since I got it...but I am looking for a replacement as I want something larger.

If you have any info, I would appreciate if you can share it with me (PM). thanks!

The coaxial movements were dropped from the usual 28,800 to 25,200 bph so they are beating slower. I've noticed them looking choppier too. However, my Aqua Terra 8500 seems dang near as smooth as my Submariner so it might just be on a watch by watch basis.

That is what I notice with my Seamaster. It is a bit choppier than my Mavado.

Thank you for clarifying. Glad I was not imagining it. Actually, every AT 8500 I've seen has been extremely smooth. Nice watch btw, how do you like it?

You're welcome. I absolutely LOVE my AT. Having a 6.5" wrist, I went with the 38.5mm size with blue dial, the same as Daniel Craig wore in Skyfall. Couldn't be happier. I have a Speedmaster Professional, have had many 1120 Seamasters, a Planet Ocean, and some quartz Omegas in the past and I think this Aqua Terra is the nicest to date. Not that the others weren't really nice, every Omega I've had has been a fantastic watch, this one is just a little extra special.

Excellent photo of a beautiful watch. I got everything sorted with the post. Day one with my SMP.

VERY nice my friend! Selling my 2254 is one of my biggest watch collecting regrets. Maybe I'll be able to pick one up again some day. Enjoy one of the best dive watches ever made! Again, congrats!

I know nothing about watches. This Wenger Chronograph is the only wristwatch that I own, and has served me well for two years so far.

And this is a Russian pocket watch I bought while I was in Europe about 23 years ago. I know nothing about it, however I gave it to my father, and I got it back when he died.
