The "Whatever" Thread

How much more exciting can an internet forum really be...? People are highly interested in this forum and frequent here SEVERAL times per day.
And when you stop and think about everyone having a day job in their actual lives away from this forum its pretty awesome this place gets that much attention!

Ive browsed the other hosted knife maker's on the subforum and if you think this place is dead... take a look around Mr. K.

You started a thread about .22 handguns 4 days ago. 20 something people have already posted to that topic... That's 5 posts per day!

I would Love to be more active in here, but I don't have much time and when I do get time, I try to help out people with less experience than I have regarding purchases, sharpening and maintenance/mods.

When I do get time I try to offer suggestions regarding your questions and (what you might see as) issues you would like addressed.

I will do some reading and poke my head in over the weekend with some ideas.

Connie is off work next Friday so we are going to Crown Point Indiana to the John Dillinger museum, and hit a few antique stores while we are there. It's only about an hour drive, and it will be the first time we will be going anywhere since early August.

Nice, we're in Harlan again for the weekend, (as in "you'll never leave halan alive"), always an interesting place to visit.

Just had my sister in laws wedding rehearsal here. Wedding tomorrow at 5pm.
The two are getting married under two big old pecan trees In my yard.

Its nice spot. Sister in law said, those vines hanging down are really pretty!
I say back, thats poison ivy. dont touch it. :D

Should be a interesting day with 100 people at my house!

Enjoy the wedding festivities!

We're having our annual Pumpkin Carving party tomorrow evening. We've been doing this for almost a decade now. It started as us hosting a bunch of heavily drinking friends while we all carve pumpkins. It has now evolved into a more family-friendly affair since our kids were born. There will still be drinking, but it much classier now that everybody is drinking wine and craft beer (I'm still having a bourbon or two) My wife LOVES hosting/throwing parties and the kids really get a kick out of it, so let the good times roll.

The alcohol will flow here as well. A bit less refined though. The wedding couple is 21 & 22 years old..
Their style is more PBR beer and R & R whiskey.
The invitations were styled like a PBR label. "Dee-Ann & Jordan, The Blue Ribbon Couple!"

The wedding party will be at the local country club cause I didnt want all those youngins leaving my house drunk as hell in the night.

It rained and blew like a hurricane here yesterday while I worked on vehicles. Today should be nice. I'll fish for a couple of hours before I have to go to work.

Dang. I feel your pain. With a 10, 2, & 9 month old we rarely sleep all the way through the night.
Sometimes we get grandparents to watch the little ones just so we can sleep.

So, waking at 230am puts yall going to bed at like 6pm!

At the hospital with the wife. She decided to get on my daughters skateboard fell and thinks she broke her ankle. Just what we need right now. Blah!

Just my luck, my first year getting Social Security, and there will be no cost of living increase in January. They claim since the price of gas is low we don`t need one. I don`t know where gas is cheap, but it`s not by me!

Shoot. Its the lowest I can remember in 15 years around my area! It was $2.03 a gallon last time I filled up.
Being in LA though affords me the cheaper gas because we're right near the coast and we have refineries everywhere.
Our gas is basically right from the tap.
